Saturday at the NQC

Saturday night was a good one. Lineup was solid for the most part.

I was a little disappointed that the group that won the contest was more
like the Martins than the Dove Brothers.

The highlight for me was Greater Vision. Gerald Wolfe came out and told the
group how one of the Hayes sisters was recently diagnosed with Rheumatoid
Arthritis. He went on to say how if we couldn't pray for each other as well
as entertain each other then we all needed to go home. He led the group in a
prayer for the Hayes sister and then sang "Til The Storm Passes By".
This was especially emotional for me since that was the last song our
quartet sang in church. Just after singing, our lead singer suffered a
cerebral hemorrhage as he was leaving the platform and died 12 days later.
The tears flowed.

Gerald really put things in perspective with his comment about ministry.
