I had surgery yesterday. All I remember is my friend who was going to take
me home talking and talking and
talking and talking in the recovery room, something about an alcoholic
mechanic with no legs or something, it was hilarious, he just kept talking,
one full solid hour of stories, none of which I remember. The nurses kept
telling me to "Tell him this..." and "Tell him that..." (because they
thought he didn't speak English and rather than tell them that he speaks
English just fine, we just let it be at that.) He actually couldn't HEAR a
word any of them were saying anyway, which didn't matter because no doubt
they didn't care about the drunk legless mechanic much, either.
