Yahoo GE BBS (possibly closing?)

We're not sure how much longer the Yahoo BBS will be running. Morgan's father
has had a major heart attack which means financial cutbacks - Morgan expects to
lose her Internet connection. If this is the case, I'll try to put the Russian
info on my pages so that it isn't lost completely. It's a pity because we were
getting some hits even tho' not many people contributed much and some people
who have trouble getting newsgroups were finding their way there. We also had
an art gallery with GE pix.

There is a chance I will have to change my own GE URL sometime. Freeserve may
stop offering free access and if this happens I will buy a deal which gives me
my own domain name. It all depends on the outcome of some legal action by big
ISPs. I don't want to pay 2 sets of monthly rentals so if Freeserve can't
offer their service I will switch to a package with a one-time only connection
fee and my own domain name (my own little kingdom in cyberspace). I'll keep
you posted so any links can be changed when/if it happens.

But of course, she doesn't know how long it will be there if she loses her
Internet. If you visit, wish her well. Websites are replaceable - her father
isn't.
