Ive been following what has been said about Gabriels girth on the recent VH1
special and got to thinking it is possible he has cancer. Aside from going
bald, you are sometimes givin steroids to bulk you up since you cant keep much
food down and loose incredible amounts of weight. The last picture I saw of
Gabriel was 2 years ago and he was neither bald nor fat. I find it hard to
belive that a vegiterian could but on that much overweight. Any thoughts??

Just because he's a vegetarian doesn't mean he can't put on weight! -
Even vegetarian food contains fat (eg. nuts , cheese etc,.) I know plenty of
"stout" vegetarians (mentioning no names here). His metabolism could have
slowed down to such a rate that weight gain is inevitable.
It's very easy to jump to the conclusion that it is a result of some sort of
illnes. On the other hand , I do take your point about weight gain and
steroids. I think we should be very careful in our assumptions though.
It may just be a case of too many curries!

If so, he can join Neil Pert's support group. :)

I think they would have stopped the steroids before he became a fat bastard ..
I would have thought any steroids would be given just to maintain suitable
weight.

Peter's been complaining about his losing his hair for years. He's even
talked about his use of minoxodil (sp?) and what it says about his
vanity. I guess he finally gave up and let nature take its course.

There are plenty of fat vegetarians. Besides, just how fat is he? Lots
of people appear to get a little puffier in the face as they age because
their skin is starting to sag. He will be 50 in February, remember.

Steve and Tony seem to be aging the most gracefully of the bunch.

This is a terrific way to start rumors. Anyone can see he's been shaving his
head. He did the same thing around 1979. Just Peter being Peter.

What a horrible presumption to assume Peter's weight gain is a result
of contracting cancer. It's obvious that Peter's hair has been
thinning in the 90's (check out the cover of "Us" compared to "So") and
his weight gain could easily be attributable to something else. Let's
hope you're wrong.

I´ll second that. The same nonsense came up in AMPG after his Oscars
performance.
