Well, I can't think off hand about any Genesis music on tv series, but I
do know that they used to use a lot of Phil and Peter songs on the old
Miami Vice tv show. Off the top of my head I remember, Take Me Home, In
the Air Tonight, Long Long Way to Go, and We Do What We're Told. Also
today on tv I saw an ad for Fila shoes where they used the drum loop from
Peter's Kiss That Frog. It was kind of cool.

Magnum PI also used Mama and Tonight in its shows.

There was a show in 84 I think that used Just a job to do as its theme
song.

Towards the end of the series, Magnum P.I. used some Genesis songs. Off the
top of my head, I believe it was Brazillian (sp?) and Mama. There might be a
couple of others that I am forgetting.

Peter's Rhythym of the Heat drum beat is also used a lot in movie
trailers. The last one I remember hearing it in was the trailer for
Stargate, but I know it's been in others, just can't remember now.

In response to the Genesis material on Magnum, P.I.,
the series used two songs during the show's seventh
season. The songs and episodes were: "Death And
Taxes," with guest stars Kenneth Tigar and Joe
Santos, which used "Mama," and "Laura," with guest
star Frank Sinatra, which used "Tonight, Tonight,
Tonight." During the eighth and final season, the
series used "The Brazilian," during the episode
"Unfinished Business."

I don't know if any of you are familiar with this or not, but channel 1,
a national high school news channel, played Watcher of the Skies as one
of their intro songs last year.
