CalProg is proud to announce that we will be hosting Rewiring Genesis - A
Live Tribute to the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway featuring Nick D'Virgilio
(Spock's Beard, Tears for Fears) on August 1 at the Whittier venue. For
those of you that are not familiar with the album, it is not a typical
"tribute" album, but more an artistic reinterpretation of the classic
Genesis album. The Musical Box played to sell-out crowds all over the world
(including Whittier) a few years ago performing "The Lamb", but what they
did was an "exact recreation" of the original tour, note for note, audience
patter and all. But this is totally different. The band includes horns,
female singers, strings and even an accordion. According to Nick, there will
be "between 10-12 people" performing.
