I've been trolling this newsgroup for quite a while and sadly I've found a
rather astounding lack of archive sites for live/bootlegs in the garbage
"community"... kinda sad, because they sound rather good live. Anyhow, I'm
have the ability and the willingness to set up a nice little site with lots
of live stuff, full shows. I've got a server with lots of bandwidth and
plenty of hard drive space. Basically all I would need would be for people
to help me locate this live stuff. It's of course all free. I was wondering
would you guys be interested in this? Use it? Like it? Willing to upload
stuff? Anyway, respond. If I get enough interest I'll see if I can put
something together.

As far as live mp3s go, maybe one GOOD mp3 of each song to hear how its
different from the stuido version and maybe mp3s that are unique in some way.
Like acoustic versions of songs or maybe if they play a remixed version of a
song live (like Dog New Tricks on the pink rock bootleg). I'd especially like
to hear live versions of some of the b-sides they don't play in concert that
often. Have they ever played Deadwood or 13 X Forever live? But I'm not
really all too interested in spending 25 to 30 minutes to dowload a not so
great quality mp3 and there is no real need to have 10 live versions of the
same song. Temptation Waits sounds pretty much the same on all 3 live
recordings I've heard of it you know. I bet though that if a site with mp3s
goes up, within days you'll notice a surprising increase of "rare live imports"
on ebay. Not that the ones up there already really sell for much.

I hear that. I think i've got 7 billion recordings of Pearl Jam's "Black". I
think something good to do would have full concerts for the people who like
that, but also have a "picks" section or something like that points out one
or two good, quality recordings for each song.

Anyway, had a few people resond, Looks like i might put something
together...

I recommend Roskilde 26/6/98 - since they released some of the songs live on
V2.0 (and it was my birthday)

Then perhaps any good quality "full" show (since Roskilde is only a reduced set)

then perhaps a "studio" show as they always mix different (better?)

Then some of the b-side remixes so Shirley can abuse us more about downloading
them all :-p

I'm am totally for this site. And i recommend having remixes and
bsides on it too along with super rare stuff
The garbage recptacle has the best list...but none that work yes i
know its cause you have no space to put it..but i wanna help
contribute. Ive got roskilde and a bunch of remixes and bsides i'd
assist with in making this site great.

I could supply some rare pre-garbage mp3s. 32 spooner and 12 Angelfish
(including kimberly and trash it, angelfish b-sides). I would be very
interested in hearing Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie, Firetown, Rectal Drip, Wild
Indians and Autumn 1904 although those last 3 I really doubt will be very
readily available for someone to contribute.
