Is Stevie Nicks a Witch?

Please tell, What are Stevies religious believes?

The reason I ask, is that I have a new girlfriend who is very religious. I had
invited her to the November 2nd concert in Houston, which we attended, and
thoroughly enjoyed!!!!!!
However, Cindy (my girlfiend), was quite disturbed by a rumour that Stevie is a
Witch. FAQ's on the website flatly deny this, but I would like more
reassurance.
Where do the rumours come from?
Has Stevie just created that image, because she likes it?
Is Stevie interested in the 'dark side', or the occult?

At very least, please tell, What are Stevie's religious believes?

Also, does Stevie have eye sight problems?

I really would like to know more.

Many sincere thanks.

Okay, let me just call Stevie real quick. JEESUS! Why do you find it
necessary to know these things?? Who cares what her religion is or how her
eyesight is?! Her music is great and that's all that matters! Get a grip.

Well, it has been proven that the shows are sold out due to the spells Stevie
weaves. That's why Vancouver was cancelled. Stevie forgot to cast the spell,
they missed a plane, Lindsey came down with bronchitis.... what a mess!
Thankfully, she is now much, much more careful with her spells.

Thankfully, witches believe that anything you do comes back to you threefold.
This is why Lindsey is still alive -- if she had offed him during some of
those very tense years in the 70's, well, that would have come back to haunt
her. What a disaster that would have been.

Lastly, yes, Stevie does have vision problems. Some of the old texts that the
spells are written on are very difficult to read at this point. Also, running
around in the dark can really do damage. Though, honestly, I'm not sure if it
is because she once cursed Lindsey for not having enough "vision" if you catch
my drift. Sad how those little curses can slip out at vulnerable times.

Oh, and you didn't mention what religion your girlfriend is... is she a very
religious pagan? Wiccan? Just wondering.

Tigerz, who hasn't gotten much sleep this week....

Hey i was wondering the same thing, because I am christian, and my mom
heard that she was a witch and seemed a little weird about it. Don't
let these other guys get you mad, even if they were a little rude about
it. I guess we will never know if no one in this entire group would be
so kind to answer the question. Since this is after all a fleetwood mac
newsgroup, you can only talk about the same thing a certain amount of
times before you might actually have to answer a question that doesn't
exactly pertain to JUST the music. El well, hopefully someone who has
the answer will answer it for us...for those other guys, I think THEY
need to get a grip! -Love in the Lord, B

YOU can be so kind as to not post your message seven times! As for the witch
question, Stevie Nicks is not a witch, she never was a witch, and she never
will be a wish. The reason we were so rude to your friend is because we are
all SO TIRED of answering that question! So please, tell everyone you know.
Thank you

When you say 'luddite', I hope you meant the sense of the word that
refers to not knowing alot about computers...and the 'religious
fanatics' part seems to have a negative connotation to it, which i
resent, but yet I don't care. Being a 'fanatic' about the Lord who
created us all doesn't seems to bother me that much. Perhaps being a
'fanatic' about someone or something that is higher than yourself can be
a good thing. Sorry to post this in a FM newsgroup, so please don't
send me a bunch of negative replies about it! I am not going to say
anything further about it. Let's just keep this about FM and all THEIR
controversies and beautiful music. Thank you.

The point is, why should you worry about someone's religious affiliation --
shouldn't you worry about more important things??? The posts show that neither
of you know a thing about the difference between Wicca and Satanism.

If you really need to get the heebie jeebies over someone, go fret over
Marilyn Manson or whatever that thing is that fronts the group.

The only person who has the answer is Stevie. And she says she is not. NOT THAT
IT SHOULD MATTER. Do unto others as you would like done unto you.

Glad you cleared that up for us. You only posted it three times, you

Just because you have found your God doesn't mean you have to disrespect anyone
else's. One of the main beliefs in Wicca (or the Craft) is that all Gods are
one god. Therefore, you have nothing to worry about.

The real question is whether she's a good witch or a bad witch, or simply a
blind witch? These are silly questions. I used to belong to a born again
Christian church that was overly concerned with such nonsense. Enjoy the
music, enjoy the fantasy if you care to and help the homeless at Thanksgiving.

It only good and evil were that transparent.

Yes that's the quote!! I posted something similar to this on the Stevie
newsgroup. But I did it from memory and I couldn't remember the whole
thing.
The quote is from an MTV interview with Stevie in 1987. She goes on to
say ...."at the same time I collect things, you know I have beautiful
crystals and I would say that even if I wasn't Stevie Nicks and even if I
wasn't in Fleetwood Mac I would still have these things"
She also says that for Halloween "I always wanted to be a witch cuz I
thought being a witch was the absolute most wonderful thing you could be
for Halloween and I didn't want to go as a hot dog or, or, a box of
kleenex ya know, I wanted to be a witch!"

I don't know why everyone gets so bent out of shape when someone asks
a question. I love Stevie's music...and I also like reading articles
about her, too. There are people who are interested in what Stevie's
religion is or her eyesight or who she is dating or her
past...etc...etc. Isn't the Stevie Nicks newsgroup for discussing
Stevie Nicks??

I'm terrible with web addresses but I think it's something like rec.music.
artists.stevie-nicks something like that, if that doesn't work then do a
newsgroup search on it. It's possible that your service may not carry the
group. if it doesn't then try contacting your service provider and tell
them to pick it up!!!

Yes, Stevie proclaims to be a witch. But don't let that stop you from enjoying
her music. As far as I know, she has never professed a desire to turn her
listeners into witchs, warlocks or servants of the devil. I liked many
artists when I was a teenager who professed either gayness or bisexualness.
It caused me to have uncomfortable feelings about them, but I soon realised
that I could enjoy their music without becoming them. If music is beautiful,
it is beautiful no matter where it comes from.

Stevie will always be my wish <perk>.....but umm where do you get this
information that she is not or never has been a witch..obviously not from
Stevie's mouth, since I heard her proclaim it thoughout the late 70s.
