They're starving in Afghanistan,
There's war in Ukraine,
The Chinese seem to have a plan,
To be suzerain.

Sudan has been splintering,
Taiwan fears attack,
The Finns hate the Russians,
And have NATO's back.
Israelis hate Hezbollah and Hamas to boot,
And I don't for anybody give a hoot.
BRIDGE
But we can still wallow and follow the herd,
For TikTok and Twitter make life seem absurd.
So why should we worry that one lovely day,
Someone'll set a nuke off,
And likely blow us all away?

Chicago has been rioting,
There's strife in Iran,
The climate is disquieting,
Let's all blame our fellow man.
