Let's see if this group is dead or if there are still some fans
lurking in the shadows :-)

I went to FW concert on November 10, in Zoetermeer in The Netherlands.
It was their first concert of the current little European tour. It was
awesome to see them live again (I did see them 2 or 3 times before),
as I have been FW fan since their early days in the eighties. They
played a great mix of old and new material, and I had a blast. The
drummer that is playing on this tour was doing a great job,
considering the fact that he had to learn the material in quite a
short time.

As always on their shows I was a bit disappointed by Ry Alder. He just
cannot perform like he does on record. He's a great guy and frontman,
but he always sounds like he has just finished doing 100 shows, and
his voice is completely worn out. He is really strugling to get the
high pitches. Maybe he should stop smoking :-)

Another thing on this concert was the fact that the two guitars of Jim
and Frank were not in tune with each other. I think it was Frank who
was not tuned very well. It was really noticable in the third half of
the show, and rather a pity. Frank still amazes me by the way. He is
such a great player, and still playing all those intricate solos of
the older material with ease. Of course Joey and Jim (especailly as
the composer of most material) are awesome too. It's always fun to see
the antics and energy of Joey :-)

But nevertheless, it was a great show, and I'm really grateful for all
the great music they brought us, and hopefully will still bring in the
future. Go see them if you can!
