18 October 2000 Papa Roach, North California's hottest
new rock band, have exclusively revealed to Metal
Hammer that they are recording a track for a forthcoming
Faith No More tribute album.
The band will shortly record 'The Gentle Art Of Making
Enemies', a track which appeared on FNM's overlooked
classic 'King For A Day… Fool For A Lifetime'.
Coby Dick, the Roach's lead singer, told the 'Hammer:
"Faith No More really inspired a lot of bands and 'King For
A Day…' is in my all-time top five albums. I don't know
who else if on the album but I think Korn and Deftones will
also record tracks. We're very excited about it and I can't
wait to get in the studio."

Hmm so one good band on the album, and it aint PR or Korn folks.
I'm sorry but i kind take seriously a band who use the rap:
"My names Coby, Mr Dick if you're nasty
I rock the mike with a voice that is raspy"

and if this turns out to actually be happening, may I add
a resounding " woo hoo". (I do have the sinking feeling that
the only band worth hearing on the album will be the deftones)

bill((8))
oh and another thing...the article said korn might be on it....so would that
mean puffy will play on a tribute to his own band?
bill((8))
Ozzy did on the Nativity in Black CD.
Good lord, I hope Helloween's 'From Out of Nowhere' doesn't end up on there.
Apocalyptica did a cool version of that song, though.
yes that was poo wasnt it
Looking forward to it. Just hope there's a wide enough variety of bands to do
justice to the.....well.....wide variety of song styles.

FNM has covered countless number of artists....its only fair that others get to
cover them
retro
Then do it!!!!!!! Why don't we all just wait and judge then.
Finally, Korn will play a good song.
Well.... FNM has been around since the early 80's. It's pretty safe to say that
if a band has been around for 15 years or more... they certainly aren't new!

Yeah but I dont count the FNM before Patton. I mean, on that supposed tribute
album, do you think they'll cover anything pre-patton besides We Care Alot?
doubt it....
Introduce Yourself or Annes Song are likely.

considering that the album will have max 12 songs, fnm has too many other
better and more known songs to cover than stuff from the mosley era
Well they will play at least one or two.

they should really have slipknot doing jizzlober - yup all nine, ponder

great picks, especially Britney...but Incubus CANNOT do Gentle Art
I picked Britney for Underwater Love because I honestly think it would sound
good. I chose Be Aggressive as an alternate just cause it would be great to
hear her yelling "I swallow, I swallow!"

id like them to do midnight cowboy or ashes to ashes
seb.
Definately Evidence, don't know about them doing Edge of the World though.
>limp biz; Crab Song or Epic
Well, since they will probably end up on there, I'd want them doing Crab Song.
>defftones; Ashes to Ashes
No way, Stripsearch.
>system of a down; ugly in the morning
I could see that. I wish Papa Roach wasn't doing Gentle Art, SOAD could do it
better.
>papa roach; (already doin gentle art)
See above.
>korn; We Care Alot or I Wont Forget You
Hmmm, how about Midlife Crisis?
>slip knot; caffene or suprise your dead
Caffiene, maybe. How about Slipknot doing Crack Hitler?
>kid rock;Helpless
Please god, don't let him be on there. If he must, then let him do RV.
>ramstien; as the worm turns ramstien style
No, Das Schutzenfest.
>fear factory; jizlobber
I think Type O Negative should do Jizzlobber and Fear Factory should do Suprise
You're Dead.
Of course, we will probably only see about 3 or 4 of these bands, and the rest
filled up by lesser known (and probably better) bands.
How's Steve, Oscar and Rudy doing?
