Does anyone know this:

Is the 'opera voice' Kelly?
And what does he sing?

During the recording sessions for "A New World Record" Mary Thomas was
used for the opera part, however Kelly took over for the live
performances, going back to his roots as Nancy Sinatra impersonator!
(But that's for a different question).

True. His boots were made for walking.

The opera singer on the album is a woman named Mary Thomas. Kelly did
the opera parts in concert.

Subject: Rockaria!
from: Werner Bednarzik jr.
On record the opera voice is sung by real
opera singer Mary Thomas. What she sings
is a misspelled german phrase, namely:
"Weit, weit in die Ferne, man hört, man hört
die Musik" what correctly would be: "Weit,
weit in der Ferne,...". Live this phrase was
normally sung by Kelly.

When I saw Orkestra live in NYC a few months ago, Kelly wasn't feeling well
so Eric took over the operatic leads! (they had them written down on paper
next to the microphone)

I'm sure you would appreciate it. If I knew there was a rule or law or
nettiquette or what ever I would have done that. But I didn't so I
didn't. I just knew there was a FAQ with the info requested so I cut and
pasted it. I had no intention of harming anyone. I guess if I someone just
happens to ask any other question that happens to be handily available on
the net, I guess I won't cut and paste. I'll just rip and glue. Hope
you"ll be happy.
