I seriously, seriously doubt it. Why do I doubt it? Look at any of the
new pictures taken of him. If it were a wig, I think it'd look neater
than that. In a few pictures it's all uncombed and everything... plus in
an interview about Roy Orbison about ten years ago, he looked pretty
unkempt too, and it was the same color as his beard. I don't think they
make "I don't comb my hair" wigs.

Jeff could have three ears, for all I care, so long as the music is good.
"You declared you were just 3 inches taller, you only became what we
made you. Thought you were James Dean with destiny calling, you only
earned what we gave you. You tried to walk on the trail we were
sprawling, now you know that we framed you".

Oh yes, actually it's terribly important! Jeff is a perfectionist in
the studio and mere stereo recording has long since become rather passé
to him. Quadrophonic is a little old hat too, but having that third
ear makes for a really cool looking headphone apparatus and radical
sounds (especially for overhead thunder sounds from Out of the Blue)!
So Jeff's baldness was only temporary while he underwent the knife to
get that third ear pasted "up top":

But fear not, he's looking rather Brillo (sic) again and back to eating
solid food and Wheaties!
Salud!

This announcement was brought to you by the Ashley and Martin Hair
Replacement Studios. Advanced Hair...Yeah, Yeah!
Yeah this *is* better, since there's no question that JH has bleached his
hair for years. He also must be balding, because why else would he have
stuck to the same out-dated combed forward style for 35 years (OK, it didn't
looked *that* out-dated until about 10 years ago) . <hee hee hee>

But the Hayward stuff got pretty nasty as his female followers get pretty
defensive if you try to tell them that!
