Try listening to some tunes like Bad Company - the nine or Dieselboy -
Barrier Break. And for the jungle, try Shy FX & UK Apache - Original Nuttah
or Ray Keith - The Chopper...
There are many diffrences - jungle tune beats are often more broken and
pitched up, while drum'n'bass is more tough and less complicated ( but it's
not a rule )... Jungle bass is also kind of specific - lower and smoother -
sometimes only a sub without any layers or distortions. D'n'b bass can be
really nice distorted, filtered and layered over many synthesizers...
Just need to listen to many tunes to feel the difference...

What amazes me are songs like seba and paradox - sound on sound. I
sometimes wonder how people get such amazing drum beats and loops and
stuff. Anyway thanks for the help.

i have a simply definition:

drum and bass sounds like programmed beats (which could fit into a 16/16 grid).
jungle uses sampled, sliced and reasambled beats.

and generally: jungle is always closely connected to
reaggea7dancehall7west-indie influences

The best way to seperate the two is to think that D&B basically progressed from the early 'jungle'.
Real jungle tunes to listen to would be Leveticus' "The Burial" or "The Helicopter" by Deep Blue or even any of the Congo Natty catalogue.

Very clear D&B is much of the works of Bad Company, Mampi Swift, Andy C. Listen to tracks from the 'Shot down on Safari' EP or even most of the Fabio/Grooverider collection.

There is a fine line, in my opinion, of REAL old skool jungle and more recent efforts to recreate the original jungle vibe. I think there should be a distinct gap between the Jungle masters of old and the new 'Jungle Style' Drum & Bass, which although is good, danceable and popular is still no where near the days of the illegal warehouse raves and pioneers like DJ Hype, Shimon and LTJ Bukem

and Oldskool jungle actually had jungle noises in it, wierd bass wobbles
etc. drum and bass is more commonly new skool sounding synth stuff.

and what the dudes said above about rough layed basses and drums, amens fit
into dnb nicely

This is a cool track, would you call this style 'drumfunk'? Or more just straight up dnb?
