Hi Guys,

Well I won't say what is my opinion about the new CD nor will I say what is my
theory... too much threads about this... however :

Anybody noticed that the guy on the cover looks like the guy on the cover of
Fates Warning's Still Life ?

Same guy ??? In the liner of SFAM there's a mention to "Still Life
Photography..."

I always thought that the guy on Still Life looked like Kevin Moore... could it
be Kevin on the cover of SFAM ?

Best,
Chris

A little; the features really aren't that similar.

The bust on the cover of FW _Still Life_ is a plaster sculpture by
Ray Alder; the face on the front of SFAM appears to be an actual
person, although it's hard to tell. If you look at the many photos of
the adult male in the montage, it looks like the same face - actually
looks kinda like Derek, when i think about it.
As for still life photography, i'm not honestly sure what that's
referring to, but my guess is some of the photos in the cover montage
which are of objects (picture frame, fence) rather than people.
Distinct from the house photos.

I really don't see the resemblance, myself.

Well, seeing as the artist lives exclusively in England and most likely worked
apart from any input from DT other than to capture the "essence" of the
album--I know how this artist works-- I think any resemblances are merely
coincidence. The face on the cover may indeed be dave McKean's, it's hard to
tell, but it is a real person. He uses Adobe Photoshop on a Mac to do the
digital manipulation.

As for the still life photography, I think there referring to the backside of
the insert with the newspaper. These are a collection of items photographed,
just like fruit on a table is a classic examply of still life painting.

I thought the face on SCFAM looked like a combo of all the members of DT. But
I could be wrong!

This album cover reminds me of another great progressive masterpiece,
"Masque" by Kansas.
