DEF Leppard's Joe Elliott might still like the rock 'n' roll lifestyle but
it seems his taste for rock chicks could be on the wane (even for a rocker,
slippers always beckon in the end). Joe, who was married to quintessential
rock chick Karla Elliott, has split up with his glamorous American
girlfriend Bobbie Tolsma and is already introducing friends to his new
American girlfriend Christine. Things are moving along swiftly and it seems
Christine has been staying with Joe in his home in Stepaside (appropriate
name, don't you think?).
Even more surprising, Christine's a down-to-earth brunette - more of a
jeans-and-jacket than leather-and-lace kind of gal. And she must have a
sense of humour because she works for the Def Leppard organisation -
although they're admittedly still huge in the States.
Sadly, the same can't be said for Westlife (about being huge in the States,
I mean). Their security manager of four years Paul Higgins has left the
band. Let me guess - artistic
differences?
Paul also happens to be an ex of the aforementioned Karla (ain't life
small?). But that was before he met Jackie Murphy, who owns the Spar in
Monkstown (it's a supermarket out there). They married last December and
Westlife even played at the wedding. However, Paul's best pal is Nicky
Byrne, and Paul is doing the security at Nicky's Paris wedding to Georgina
Ahern in August. And you can't have enough bodyguards at these things.
But enough about Bertie's mates.
Wonder if Joe will pay for new breasts for Christine? *meow!*

There goes any hope for Joe returning to writing good music. 'Settling down'
is not the rock 'n roll way.
I thought it was rather odd that Joe was the only member of the band to go
to the crew cook out last month, also that the operation on his shoulder was
changed at the last minute from Detroit to Dublin at the begining of May.
He was going to recoupuerate at the house he part owns with Bobbie somewhere
in Michigan state.

Not necessarily. A rock and roller can "settle down" and still make good
music.
Susan
Westlife are an Irish boy band (managed by Ronan Keating) and they headlined
over Leppard at the 2002 Feel The Noise Live at Sheff Arena, what an
outrage.
JFI - Lepp were the only band that actually played live that night, everyone
else (including Westlife) mimed!
