Apparently the problem with Ritchie was Ritchie...Pity.
The story is that when he left DP & Rainbow in 1993, Ritchie started a
one man band. It was just going to be him and his guitars. The act
broke it up over musical differences.
Ha ha - good one :-)
Michael.
Pity indeed. It's a testament to the group, that they have managed to
survive with so many line-up changes.

It's just a curiosity to see if they can live up to RB without HIM

I'm sure every DP fan remembers RB doing a near 5 min jam in "You fool
no-one" during their Californian Jam ('74). Ritchie seems to go off with the
fairies at the end of that jam,.., until Glenn Hughes says
"Ritchie",..meaning, come back to us :-)
It sort of left Coverdale at a loose end,..but it took the bass guitarist to
pull the lead into line.

Shame there was no-one saying "Glenn" when said bassist was wailing
away like a man with his knackers caught in a mangle.

He did to some time with the Village people. A very animated performer.

He did what to "some time with the Village People"? Your post is very
hard to decipher.
He did *do* some time with the Village people. A very animated performer.
Better ?
Jason
Not the same Glenn Hughes...

That's "D'OH!" Unless you're auditioning for the Sound of Music.
Yes,..I'm glad he wasn't with the VP. I mean, they were formed wirth the
best intentions,..no doubt,..but that unfortunate leather gear that their
GHs wore,..hasn't aged very well :-)
Jason
And it's "DO" if you are auditioning for The Sound of Music.

Oops. That's one of the problems of being straight, I don't have a clue about
musicals ;)
