Holy Shit All,

I just returned from the Everlast concert in Detroit. The night was
going fine Dexter Freebish opened up and he was sweet you should all check him
out. Anyway Everlast comes on the stage. He plays about 6 songs and then goes
into a very phat Jump Around. St. Andrews where the concert was is a small
place and the whole place was jumping during the song. After the song Everlast
goes "I am fucking sick of other people making money off of my music I started
this shit back in 1991." He starts ripping on Limp and Eminem and D12 "D12
don't they know how to count it should be Dfucking6" He then opens the mike up
to anyone who would step up and defend them. All of a sudden here comes D12
running up the side of St. Andrews. They plowed their way up to the front of
the stage. The guards surrounded the stage and Everlast stood there with his
guitar above his head ready to fight. One after one the guards were getting
the shit kicked out of them and so D12 fought their way up to the mike but
Everlast went out the back. Soundboard were being thrown everywhere, chairs
where nailing people, beer going everywhere. D12 finally made their statement
and was like "We don't let anyone come into our D-Town and rip on our boy
Eminem". So I am thinking this is the best time to get the hell out of there.
So I start heading for the entrance with my girlfriend but all of a sudden D12
starts running towards the same door. People were getting thrown around
everywhere and I got beer spilled all over me and we were knocked into the St.
Andrews main office luckily. They were calling the Police and said that D12
had weapons and they need all the cops they could get. Also they could not
find Everlast bus to get them out of there. We stayed in the office until we
thought it was clear to go. Man what a concert holy shit you would never see
that at a Dave show. If anyone else was there write me an email I would love
to hear what you thought. Thanks for listening.

Man, I've been to St. Andrew's, and thats one place you don't want all Holy
Hell to break out! Thank goodness you got out there with only a beer or 2
spilled on you, and not a broken arm from being pushed into the wall. Just
out of curiosity, I take it D12 is a local band from Detroit? I've never
heard of them, but I'm not really big in the rap\hip hop scene. Just wait
until Dave's 47, on stage, and starts ripping on some smaller band who
cover's Crash.....except at a place like MSG where there are a TON more
people...HAHAHAHA....

Yeah I do not know much about D12 but I guess Em is there front man and is on
Em's new album and or Limps new album. It was crazy I have never seen anything
like that before in my whole life. Chair, soundboard, mikes and everything
just flying all around the place and when I saw Everlast with his guitar above
his head I was just like oh shit. Oh well by no means is any of this St.
Andrews Hall fault their guards tried to stop D12 but they just got the shit
kicked out of them. For the most part I thought St. Andrews was a pretty safe
place.

yea D12 was eminem's Original Group and they made a pact or whatever that if
one of them mebers of the group were to "make it" they would come back and try
to get the group going, hence Eminem is back to make D12 KNOWN... or what have
you.... Everlast and D12 are like Eminem and ICP others, I think I read in a
rollingstone a few issues back about their problems with each other, hope that
helps a bit...

Fight at rock concert, stabbing at dance performance in Detroit
February 2, 2001, 11:57 PM

DETROIT (AP) -- A brawl broke out during a downtown rap concert and someone was
stabbed during a dance performance at the Detroit Opera House in unrelated
incidents Friday night, police said.

The first incident occurred at St. Andrew's Hall during a concert by the rapper
Everlast about 9 p.m., Sgt. Ricardo Moore said.

Officers arrived after a report of a fight at the concert, but it had ended by
the time they arrived, Moore said. Three people were injured and taken to
Detroit Receiving Hospital, he said.

The fight apparently started after someone on stage made negative comments
about rapper Eminem, who grew up in the Detroit area, Moore said. There were no
arrests.

In the second, unrelated incident about an hour later, a man was stabbed in the
arm inside the Detroit Opera House during a performance by the Alvin Ailey
American Dance Theater. He was in stable condition at Receiving Hospital, and
the performance was uninterrupted, Moore said.

Police arrested two suspects in the stabbing. The motive for the attack was
unknown.

Wow no kidding! I don't think I have ever heard of any incident in the past at the DOH? I have
heard of many at St. Andrews though..Blair, the guy that owns Andrew's also owns Clutch Cargo in
Pontiac and a hall in Riverview. I worked for him back in 99 filling in one night with a friend,
talked to him about working some shows at the other two places...thinking it is a good thing I
didn't.
