Hey guys, I'm a new DMB fan, and I noticed under the CD holder for
UTTAD, the reference to Anne...who is she and why the reference? Also,
since I'm color-blind, I can't see stereograms, so what's the 3-D image
on the cover of "Remember Two Things"??? = )

Thanks...

Mike

Straight from the DMB faq:

4.1 Who is Anne?
Anne was Dave's eldest sister. She was murdered by her husband in South
Africa in late 1993 with a shotgun, who then shot himself. Their
children witnessed this, and they now live with Jane and Temple. There
are many questions surrounding her death, none of which are confirmed.
Under the Table and Dreaming is dedicated to her.

as for Remember 2 Things, I believe the stereogram is a picture of a
hand holding up 2 fingers..."peace"...I always sucked at seeing those
but I'm pretty sure that's what it is...

Anne is Dave's older sister; she died and he dedicated the cd to her.
The 3d image on R2T is a hand forming a peace sign. I'm pretty sure that's what
it is anyway.

Hey Mike,
I'm sure someone has already gotten back to you but in case not, Anne was
Dave's oldest sister. She lived in South Africa with her husband. In late
1993 her husband murdered her and then comitted suicide. Dave hasn't said a
heck of a lot about this because he doesn't want Anne's children to find out
about the details until they are old enough to understand. Dave and Jane are
currently in custody of Anne's kids. UTTAD is dedicated to her. Also, the
stereogram on R2T is a hand forming a "peace" sign. Later. -Jeremy

Topics to be avoided:

2.) Dave's Sister Anne

Please don't talk about this here, guys--it's not relevant, and should be avoided.

This person is a newbie and asked an honest question. He/She didn't try to
start any rumors, just asked a question. Leave it be...answer it and move on.

I have to agree...It was an honest question but Dave has specificly asked
people not to talk about it. Kinda tough when a newbie asks...but no you know
right?

I believe also (as relayed on this board before) that it is also much more
respectful to the Matthews family to answer the questions directly to that
person via e-mail than to post the answers on the board. No flames or
disrespect to the person who threaded the original post, I just think this
remains the most appropriate way to answer the curious.

Sorry to ask this if it falls in the "don't ask" category, but I was just
looking at my UTTAD CD and I can't find the dedication to Anne. Where is it?
Am I missing something? I could've sworn I saw something before saying
"Dedicated to Anne Matthews" or watever, but maybe I just knew it was dedicated
to her and it's not printed anywhere.

It is because you have an older Cd. They did not start putting them in there
untill later on..

.......And with Jeff's (SDANCE2) explanation, let's lay this entire
subject to rest. The Matthews' family would be appreciative.
