If anyone wants to know what 'KTU should sound like, go to Toronto (or
anywhere in Southern Ontario/Western New York) and listen to Energy
108/Hot 103.5/101.1 The Planet.

These stations are probably the BEST stations in regards to dance
music...especially Energy 108. But more important than that, you can
actually find TONS of dance music compilations at the major record stores
there (Tower, HMV,etc.). And they are CURRENT! Not like most of the
compilations stocked at record stores in NYC.

I think if people took the step of traveling outside of NYC to hear
what a dance station should sound like, I guarantee that your average 'KTU
listener will want to demand more current upbeat dance.

I could not agree more with Tony in his posting about the radio and music
dance scene in Toronto.. I travel monthly there from WNY just to buy CDs
and hear the latest on Energy 108 http://www.energy108.ca may be .com
not sure... i think its .ca............

they are the best..

I only wish other cities including my own could model their dance radio
off of this station... cuttin edge for sure......and almost 50% imported
playlist.. very HOT

HOT 103.5 is good too... a bit more top 40ish.. but good.

It depends what type of dance music you like.
Energy 108 has gone more house and progressive oriented (although still play
lots of commercial music)
If you like euro/hi-nrg/commercial poppy stuff rather than the hard house
stuff (like myself), Hot 103.5 is a better station
