has anybody ever heard of a country singer named kathy kitchen?

In 1983 a very young country singer about age 12 made a brief
appearance in the film "Angelo My Love", a mainstream movie directed
by famed actor Robert Duvall. Her name was Kathy Kitchen and she sang
"Rocky Top" in the movie. The credits listed her as playing herself
in the film, but ever since then I've never heard any more about her.
Was she really a country singer? Did she make an appearance on any TV
show, or have any songs recorded and airplayed? Just wondering. I
thought I'd post this question at this group because I'm hoping
someone with a thorough knowledge of country music and its performers
will be able to answer it. Thanks to anybody who can shed some light
on this subject.

One quick correction....the Internet Movie Database, www.imdb.com,
lists the spelling of her name as Cathy, not Kathy. Same question,
though.

Might be a bit late on answering, but Kathy is still singing at local clubs in Illinois. I learned about all her past on a date after she blew me away at karaoke. Who knew? Haha!

We live in Nokomis IL, the next town east is Pana. There was a young girl from Pana named Kathy Kitchen that made an appearance on TV, ( I think He Haw ) when she was 12. Around 1982.

Hi there. Today is Feb 26th, 2018. I JUST saw her on Hee Haw, with Faron Young. She is (was) QUITE a talented singer for a girl that young. Believe she is from a little town in central southern Illinois called Pana. Little farm town. I believe she MIGHT be on Facebook. I'd like to see more of her also. I'll be looking for more on her.
