How will Artist Direct handle 'Promised Land'?

I'm kinda anxious to see myself on this one and I'm definitely stressing a
little wondering if I'm gonna get one again. Kinda sucks that they only do
a limited release but it gives ya some gratitude when you get one, I
suppose. I think they'll do just what you said though with the show. Put
on all the TDL songs plus "Round Here" and they better put on "Monkey". Oh
well, only time will tell I suppose. Any clue as to the "official" on-sale
date?

exactly what he said. Anyway, rest assured it will be less of a hassle than last

I'm not complaining, I would have done the same thing if I could. Just know
that you are part of the reason that sale turned into such a fiasco.
Anyone know how Adam feels about people hacking into artist direct to sign up
for CD's before they even offically went on sale ?

i didn't do that. i just took the initiative to CALL the place and ask
them what the hell was going on. they asked me if i wanted to buy a copy.
yes, of course, i said, but i really want to know what to TELL PEOPLE who
are getting furiuos on the net (the list and here).... so they said
people could call. i posted it on the list and then here. a lot of people
called in and got copies. that has nothing to do with lisa's site.... and
if they didn't want people to place orders that way, they didn't have to
honor them.
not everyone could get an original. it's a shame the way they handled it,
but it's not lisa's fault. lisa made information available to fans, and
they could either use it or not. so did i.
british fans couldn't really use the phone-in order method. some tried
but never got through. several of my friends here in the states were
unable to get through on the phone. were they mad at me for telling them
the way to TRY to place an order and see if it worked? of course not!
why should anyone be mad at lisa, then?
it all happened before they 'officially went on sale' -- did they EVER go
on sale on the web site? -- and i don't think adam would be upset at fans
finding any way they could to get one since the company did such a crappy
job. my opinion, of course :) but there were only a thousand copies.

them (artist direct or the CC website people) requesting that they take
pre-orders or something for it, if this hasn't been decided already... the

sure that their servers could handle the load. I managed to get an order
through but it took a hell of a lot of reloading and switching between
computers at my work. I wish I would have known about Lisa's link and I
think she's stupendous for putting it up.

existing allotment. the people who hacked in didn't even know if their
orders would be filled. i'm just LOST trying to figure out why you're so
upset with people placing their orders through the web site. afaik, they
didn't actually "hack" anything, just "forced" the web site to take their
orders by ordering something else or getting to a different page and then
backing up, or something like that. at any rate, the PHONE ORDERS took up
all available cds as far as i know. the "hackers" orders probably
amounted to 50-100 cds out of the 1000.

Nothing wrong with being a hacker... a hacker is just somebody who possesses
a lot of technicall skills and can put it to good use. A cracker on the other
hand (who the mainstream media stupidly calls "hackers") is somebody who puts
that knowledge to harmful use. Jason inadvertently used the correct definition
of hacker, since you did a service to the CC community that was frustrated
by ArtistDirect's incompetance.
