yep, wxyc news show feedback scooped the ol xyc on the net thing, with an
interview with yours truly, in which i'm sure i came off as some
burned-out G'ed-up who had been doing 80's dances all week and had
had no benefit of truck with that most elusive of all commodities, sleep.

pretty much accurate.

now that internet business is that you get software called Maven. it goes
on your Mac (SE/30 or better, system 7 or better, internet connection-
only please!) you get this 48k of magic beans from sunsite.unc.edu, via
anonymous ftp (well, the software will actually be put there in a day or
so , so dont everybody try at onece)

then you configure Maven to connect to port 3456 of 198.86.40.81 (is.,
sunsite.unc.edu).

then your ass be hearing wxyc in real time. you can hear the latest from
the Group Home, Beau Jaques, or the Silver Jews while your butt is
writing a paper or whatever.

WXYC web page is http://sunsite.unc.edu/wxyc/ will give up to date
details, but not for another day or two.

plus big "we tell all" in the upcoming StayFree!, to be on stands on the
22nd, i believe.
