Manx always post their awesome videos here, so I figured I'd post this
trailer for a video series we're doing:

We are proud to announce a new online video series filmed by our dear
friend Jon Mackey. It is called LIVE! from Trekky House, and as you
might have guessed it involves the artists of Trekky Records playing
live at our house. You'll see all sorts of terrain and environs, and
lovely acoustic and alternate versions of songs from Barghest,
Butterflies, Embarrassing Fruits, Lost in the Trees, The Never,
Vibrant Green, Wil Donegan and more. The first video will be released
next Monday! Scope the teaser trailer:

Argh! I'm a day late, but here's number 3: Vibrant Green. VG is made
up of 3 brothers and have been playing around in NC for almost a
decade now. Whoa.

This one's from Wil Donegan, a relative newcomer to the local scene.
He's an amazing songwriter and lyricists and when he plays live he's
usually backed by The Apologies. Check it:

This week's video is from Butterflies, which is the band led by Josh
Kimbrough. Josh played in Chapel Hill with bands Straight No Chaser
and Westfalia before moving to Greensboro and starting Mortar and
Pestle. He's now been back in CH for a year and writing amazing stuff
under the name Butterflies. This one's gorgeous, Josh playing by
himself in a decimated forest. Hiya:

Just a few more left! Here's Embarrassing Fruits, a band that will
remind a lot of you of a lot of the bands that used to play around
here. These guys grew up on a healthy diet of Polvo, Archers, Chunk.
They are playing acoustic here, so you might not hear it, but I think
you'll like it. The song is called "Bicycle" and its about the scene
in Greensboro. Awesome:

Last one in the series here from The Never, who have played around
here for ages (even earlier with Vibrant Green and The B-Sides). The
song is called "Raincloud" and they play on our porch. Hope you guys
have enjoyed these! Yo:
