So there. That should shut all your morons up that keep saying celine is
anorexic and how she should eat more. She's been touring non stop (a couple of
weeks breaks here and there) for the past 10 years! Even someone like Madonna
who a lot of Celine bashers WORSHIP looked like a toothpick after she was done
with her tour. And if I recall correctly, that tour was barely 1 year long.

small boned women While I think Celine is more average. I too beleive
Celine may indeed have a eating disorder, but I have seen stories were
having a child has help in such cases, so maybe it will help Celine who
has been saying she wants children. In saying all of this I dont really
think Celine is too thin right now, but I think she has been too thin in
the past. After all I remeber reading in a magazine that Celine had a
25" waist which is small but not overly so. Compare that to another
Magazine out when Madonna first started on EVITA it said she had just a
21" waist,(later became 26" by end of shooting) but then again there is
that hight factor. Still though I worry about Celines weight.

I agree with you Mathieu....What I don't understand is why
people constantly say Celine is anorexic. The woman tours over 200
days a year. How do you expect her to continue if she has this
terrible disease? Celine is NOT anorexic....she's thin because
she works too damn hard. Also, I've noticed some of her family
members are the same way, so it runs in the family.
Celine wants these rumours to stop. Can't you grant her wishes?

anorexia is were you do not eat. In many interviews Celine is seen eating so
that would totally disclaim that. She is NOT bulimic, either! This is killing
me everyone. She is 5'7" and 115lbs. She is very thin yes...but has anyone seen
pictures of her father or her brother Micheal?
First off everyone...when in your life is most of your weight put on?
When you are a child. When Celine was a child they had money but it was very
limited. And with the 14 children in the house! The food was very
limited...probably at dinner time it was almost to the point of rationed.
Everyone had to have firsts before seconds were open for takings.
Also Celine if you have seen her performed runs in circles and back again!
Hell, with one performance I'm suprised if she doesn't loose 3lbs! I mean it
was work out for 2 hours! Not all performers have to sweat up a storm...and
after the 18 years of her performing like that I'm sure her body is more use to
the activity. Madona takes like 3 years or more between concerts...I think this
time Celine took less than a year between her falling into you concert and
LTAL.
Another thing...Celine probably doesn't eat at the same time intervals that we
do...She probably eats at noon(when she wakes up) and snacks between her warm
up and the show...then has something quick to eat after the show...Her life
style is different than ours...let alone her routine!
Again...look at the people in her family...very thin...the wemon in her family
were also very thin too until they had children...so I'm sure once we see
Celine with some children her stature may change a bit....
Anorexia and Bulima is jumping to conclusions about things!

wearing a sleeveless top her arms have very good muscle tone. It isn't skin
wrapped around bone. Quite the contrary. Her legs are muscular and strong
looking. I don't think she has any disorder. Anybody see her photo in the Globe
last week wearing the bikini. Get off her having an eating disorder.

I read somewhere that Celine loses 5 pounds every night during a
performance. Like I said before she's not anorexic, she just works
too hard.

It's like what everyone else said, she gets a great workout at concerts and it
runs in her family. She also has high metabolism.
I have high metabolism also. I'm almost 14 and not even 100 lbs. But that
doesn't mean I have an eating disorder, cuz I eat ALOT! I just don't gain any
weight from it. Same with Celine.

Far from. I work with a young lady who is a little bit taller
and the same weight, and she looks healthy.
I have a sneaky feeling that we, as a culture, are ingrained
to assume that when a woman is thin and healthy, that there
is a problem. I firmly disagree.
She eats (Hell, I'd bring her over for some of my gourmet cooking
if I could) and she also puts on one hell of a energetic show.
It wouldn't surprise me that she is quite healthy, even if it is on a
thin frame. I've seen the thin end of the image scale *a high school
teammate
of mine was 5'10 and 110. Now that was thin. Another was 55'7 and 115. She
was
quite healthy and athletic.*
As long as she isn't the hospital with any problems, and she keeps
eating Pork and salads and desserts, I won't worry about her.
(Even though I don't really like pork products)

heard. Please do not flame me for what I am about to say. Celine did not
look good (IMO) at the grammys. She looked ill. I remember when she
released Unison, she looked a lot healthier. I am concerned that she is too
thin. Of course, Karen Carpenter comes to mind and my little sister who had
a serious bout with anorexia. It is nothing against Celine, but she may
have a disease and need help.
I just hope that she does something before it's too late.

I'm 5'6.5" and 120 lbs, but most of that is muscle (I'm on a physical training
team.. push-ups, sit-ups, running)... when I haven't been training it goes to
about 115. I'm very healthy, in fact I eat like a pig and never gain any
weight (except for the fluctuations associated with my training schedule). So
really, 115 for 5'7.5" isn't under-weight. It's thin, but I wouldn't even
start to go anywhere near saying she's anorexic. That is just ridiculous.

she doesn't not eat- any true fan has *probably* seen pictures of Celine
eating, heard her talk about it (her joke at the concert comes to mind "if it
was a choice between you and a meal...forget about it- I'd take the food!") or
just knows that the woman eats. Think about it- if Celine was anorexic she'd
never be able to hold out this tour she's on- it would prob'ly::shudders:: kill
her or anyone that has anorexia and runs around on a stage for 2 hours almost
every night singing. . .

me, she wasn't anorexic. I don't know how much she weighed, but 30 years
later, after 3 kids, she weighs about 130 pounds, so she has put on some
weigh, but not much. So expect Celine to put on weight, but once she starts
touring again, she will return to her normal size.

I think Celine knows about this. On the 3 hours TV special, we saw the
making of the Zora sourit video. Watching the rushs, Celine said "It's like
I gained some weight. It's nice." Somebody who has anorexia don't want to
look heavier.

has anorexia ARE NOT fans. They are trolls who are trying to get you pissed
off. Any fan of celine knows the truth and has heard her say 1000's of times
that she's fine.. Just don't reply to these assholes who have nothing better
to do with their pathetic lives than be jealous of celine's success! It's
obvious she probably gets more exercise from running around the stage every
night than any of us do sitting on our asses reading this newsgroup. She's
doing this whole tour in the round, which means she's gotta run around the
whole stage so everyone gets a glimpse of her. As where my original comparison
to madonna, performs from a conventional stage where she's only got to move
around a 20 foot area. Also how often does madonna tour?!? And when she does,
she tours for a year or less, doing concerts every few days, then takes another
long break. This isn't meant to be a madonna bashing post, but I think the
article that Liz Smith wrote said it all..."Madonna couldn't have weighed more
than 100 pounds at the end of the tour...Touring isn't fun!"

Also, one other VERY important point no one brought up is that she's been this
thin for many years now. Any one with a serious eatting disorder would not
last more than a few months with the schedule she keeps up. It's incredible
the stereotype that society has about people who are really thin. They
"automatically" have anorexia. Do you automatically assume that all jewish
people are cheap, all black people are poor, all polish people are dumb, all
irish people are drunks, etc...(Sorry about the ethnic examples people, no
offense intended) I haven't figured out if this whole anorexia assumption is
jealousy or just lack of education about the subject.

Yeah that's through highschool when it's alot easier to keep off
weight when you're younger, but it's still very thin and you're lucky if
no one ''teased'' you about your weight. Celine is way past her
''highschool years'' and I think it's rare to see someone of her age that

Maybe it's not dancing unless you pay someone extraordinary sums of money
to create an entire choreographed routine. Plus, that has the added
bonus of distracting from vocals, just in case the performer has some,
"ahem," difficulties singing. Umm...singing live, I mean... ;)

Me, I love Celine's performance of "Declaration of Love," dragging Andre
across the stage, and then jumping up on the piano! Now that's energy!
On "Live a Paris," I think Celine's most outstanding dancing comes in
"J'irais ou tu iras" and "Regarde-moi." Of course, she practically never
stands still in that concert...it's great to watch! And when she sits on
a chair to perform "Calling You," it's still incredible! The sheer vocal
energy she obtains by focusing on her voice...it just blows me away! I
don't know of one other singer in the world who could give that kind of a
performance...and to think, that video was recorded all in ONE night,
ONE take...the day after she lost her voice!
