Vancouver-based singer and songwriter Myk Gordon has recently been
selected by SOCAN to perform a showcase on the Billy Block Show at
12th And Porter, on February 23, 2010, in Nashville.

Billy Block has been instrumental in helping some of country music’s
biggest stars' dreams come true. Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Miranda
Lambert, Jason Aldean, Big & Rich, Keith Anderson, Sara Evans, Trisha
Yearwood and thousands more have all been a part of Billy Block’s
weekly concert series, radio shows and television shows over the past
13 years.

Billy's show is broadcast on Nashville's #1 country music station 103
WKDF, in syndicated markets across the U.S. on radio, and worldwide on
the Internet. The show has produced more than 600 live concert
broadcasts, showcasing more than 3,000 local, regional, national and
international artists, and represents tremendous exposure for Myk.

Myk has just released SET FREE, a new album produced by Grammy & Juno
winner Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Tragically Hip), and featuring members
of Grammy-nominated Neko Case, Calexico and The New Pornographers. Myk
and his band will be on tour this coming summer, across the North-
Western U.S.A.

In addition, SET FREE has been added to CBC’s national catalogue and
will be featured in Music Matters, CBC’s in-house publication.

Vancouver, B.C.

"See this man live as soon as you get a chance. There is a depth and
passion here that raises the material into the same stratosphere as
artists as disparate as Dylan, Paul Simon, and early Springsteen, yet
sounds like none of them."
- Bob Segarini, fyimusic.ca

Vancouver’s Province newspaper recently gave SET FREE 4.5 out of 5
stars, saying that the 'country soul' sound is "perfect... A career
peak."
