It makes no difference to me what their sexual preference is. I just
had no idea that Damon Albarn was bisexual. Did anyone else know this?
Perhaps this article has got its facts mixed up. Comments anyone?

i fear this article may have just taken lyrics a little too literally at times.
oh, and morrissey never claimed to be nonsexual. he just said he didn't
have sex, and never said he didn't like either.
on another morrissey note -- i don't know how i feel about that past tense
they used. do they think he's dead or something? for christ's sake, he's
alive and kicking (and it's rumored there's been a few sexual
relationships of his in the past few years. both with men and women).
and they kinda screwed up the whole brett anderson thing, too.
i could have sworn he said that he was interested in both sexes, but has
never been with a man (which IMHO means that he's not really all that
bisexual, but that's just me. please no flames).
soooooooo, the overall accuracy of this article is questionable, i think.

About a trip he and Justine had in the Med. Quote from him was about how
like a herd it was and how little morality.
Dunno cos I don't know them, but from what I've read Damon seems to not be
that highly sexed, but a bit of a slapper with the women and hence the
infamous 'open' relationship with Justine.

I've got some article from around 1985 which suggests he was, at that
time, nonsexual - thinking the whole thing rather sick and IIRC rather
having a nice cup of tea.
> soooooooo, the overall accuracy of this article is questionable, i think.
Oh yes, most dodgy.
Cheers, GS
I read in one of their biographies where Damon said summat about 'having
experienced with lads, but I prefer a good pair of tits' or something to
that degree. The bio's by Martin Roach, so go check it out!

I think you underestimate this article, I for one was/still am certain that
Damon is a Bi-sexual I also believe this to be the case for Alex as well.
Can't think of any arguments for my cause right now so I'll just leave it at
that.

There is a quote from a while back, where Damon admitted to "trying out
both sides of the fence". While he may not be biologically bisexual, he
has experimented.
How 'bout that music, eh?

Daphanie dear,
We have all been making a determined effort not to get
personal in a nasty fashion with one another. You will
go along in this, won't you..................
Does it really matter whether he shags men, women or animals? Ok - maybe
we'd be pretty disgusted if Damon was shagging sheep but what I mean is it
doesn't really matter whether he is or isn't bisexual. I fancy Damon and
nothings going to change that cos I think he's gorgous and I love english
accents. The fact is I'm just into the whole look - if I saw a lad that
looked like Damon or Damon ( if he wasn't famous ) I'd still think PHWOAR!
cos I like his look - the beads, hair, runners etc... Probably why some of
my ex's look amazingly like Dave. Don't get your knickerws in a twist but
isn't one of Damon's famous qoutes - " I don't care who I snog, girls or
boys ". Anyway in my Blur book there's a picture of him about to meet stick
his tounge down Paul Lesters (author) throat. Okay this is going nowhere -
I love Damon even if he becomes a Priest and goes to Mars to spread the
faith.

Don't know anyone lad that looks like Graham unfortunately :( and if I did
I'd keep him to myself. It's Graham's birthday today but by the time I post
this it probably won't be. Emm - doesn't anyone out there think Damon and
Dave look alike? I have this poster and they both look like twins. One ex
looks like Dave the other looks like a mixture of Dave & Damon.

Uh Oh.......Now you've done it Trancy!!
You don't want to piss off Jenn :)
Wadie
damn just when I managed to gain a cyber-following I have to go and post a
typically Sagittarian blunt raving....
Chin up, Jenn....Megan gave me a sound drubbing for that Jarvis comment -- for
some reason I've never been able to fathom (save "Common People") she actually
likes Pulp....hmmm, some people!! I feel that I must point out, however, that
she has described him as "fey" on occasion
anyway, just because I called him a sissy doesn't mean I'm slagging
him....does it? -- On the other hand, he told off Michael Jackson didn't he?
That's a relatively brave thing to do in the "pop" world....although, a bigger
sissy than jacko would be hard to come by
what I'm saying is, sorry Jenn if I pissed you off -- I hope you don't take it
personally, in fact, usually if I pissed you off that means I pissed everyone
off ;)
no slagging intended!!

Sarita, this is just an article written by someone who knows nothing about
what they're speaking of, and furthermore, knows nothing about the fact that
the content of lyrics or songs doesn't necessarily spell out the character
of the writer. Damon a "sissy-boy". What the hell is that all about? He's
just a regular guy who happens to be a great tunesmith. As you say, who
cares about preference, but I've never heard of Albarn being even remotely
bisexual. Girls and Boys is about confusion in sexual identity amongst many
British youth, its not about Damon Albarn prancing about in Greece in
women's knickers. I just read a review of Blur on a website that was
totally ridiculous as well. They said that with the release of Blur, they
no longer sound like Duran Duran! Like they ever did. I've read the Star
and the Globe and other local papers (I'm from Hamilton) and they truly
don't know a thing about music unless its very, very popular, as in on the
official charts etc. The article I read even went on to say that Damon
sings, "Oh I should be someone you really love" instead of, "Always should
be..." in Girls and Boys. Sad isn't it.
Furthermore, Girls and Boys is somewhat like the Smith's How Soon is Now in
the way that the song is so entirely unlike the rest of their material. I
doubt the writer you referred to has even heard the rest of Parklike or any
album before.
I don't know much about Suede, but I do recall that when they initially came
out their easily some question of sexuality in terms of visual
presentation. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore however.
Cheers,
Rochester
I just wanted to post that I agree "Girls And Boys" and "How Soon Is Now?" are
very much alike -- but I DON'T think either of them is unlike the rest of their
material -- in fact I think they're both quintessential songs, you can kinda
see a little bit of all their songs in them -- in that respect they are
perfectly typical "signature" tunes (emphasis on the perfect) -- typical Graham
guitar weirdness (genius), typical Damon sarcastic cynisism-wittisism,
cool-dude ladykiller bassline from fag-boy (as in ciggie), and Dave!! (all
drummers are insane...that's why they're so polite)
by the way, the bassline in "Girls And Boys" DOES sound like early Duran Duran
so very representative of the rest of their material. Ho hum, another POP GEM
from Blur....so what else is new.....yawn....
it's enough to make a fan spoiled

This has gotten a bit boring so I thought I'd let Damon Albarn have the
last word......
"I don't mind kissing men at all.... I don't wank over men. If you think
about men when your're on your own and you want to have a wank, then you've
got an interest in men which is homosexual".
For all u Americans "having a wank" is the same as "jerking off" or so I'm
told.

I would never take an article with that sort of title seriously. It does put a
grin on my face. I'd love to pin that on my wall!!! This same article came up
several months ago. I recall the Toronto Star is "barely" a legitimate paper!
To me, nobody is an "out" bisexual until they make the specific announcement,
"yes, I'm a bisexual." I don't care how much they hint or tease.

Are you living on a different planet? Planet Bisexual? 99% of the women I
know are het (and not my type anyway), same with the guys (and not my type
anyway, here on Earth). That leaves me with about 1%. Maybe if I was famous
like Damon, I could be having sex with twice as many
