Lovett's band, and the introductions of the band were pretty thourough,
you would have thought Lyle would have mentioned something or some
reference would have been made. I don't know, she could be married to
the guitar player, but his introduction put him geographically elswhere
from her, or so I remember maybe incorrectly.

everyone was being very tight-lipped about it. I completely understand that,
too. The limelight would be fun for awhile, but the intrusion into one's
personal life has to be very difficult. I remember reading a news article
about Ashley Judd's home being invaded by a police imposter and included in
that same article was a reference to Alison being stalked as well.
Apparently, they both reside in the same TN county. Is it any wonder these
performers attempt to retain some modicum of privacy?

I couldn't agree more. I must say, on that subject, that I was warned that
I would likely NOT meet with success in trying to get her to sign my fiddle
when I saw her in February -- that she had grown more distant than in the
early bluegrass festival years. But I was successful, shook her hand, and
was very pleasantly surprised about how often she smiled and kept a light
attitude. Having only seen her on TV and in pictures, I had expected a
serious and downright depressing person, but she was wonderful. Her
meet-and-greet took place after almost half an hour, so she could tend to
her new baby.
Also had Jerry Douglas sign the fiddle (I'm a longtime fan). Now who else
is coming to Melbourne Florida? Hmmm...

I always thought she would be very personable in a face-to-face encounter. I
just never had the opportunity unfortunately. I used to pick with Tim
Stafford, her ex-guitarist, at ETSU and he always had very nice things to
say about all of the band members.
