Drakkar Prod., with the number 001. today considered as black metal jewel!

Ildjarn - Det Frysende Nordariket digi CD
infamous project of former Emperor member. this CD contains "Norse" 7" EP,
"Ildjarn" demo 1993 (with Ihsahn on vocals) and "Minnesjord" demo 1994. all
packed in digi pack released on Norse League Prod. with the number 001.

He, I bought that Ildjarn CD from Napalm not four months ago for 70
Schilling.. that悲 be like 4$ or so..

even more amazing for me is the fact that nobody's interested in that great
limbonic art double lp. don't you know this band or what? :)

Wouldn't that be "Forest Poetry"? That one, and "Svartfråd" are/were on
sale indeed from Napalm.

Nope.. I got those two very cheap from Napalm as well, but they actually had
"Det Frysende Nordariket" on digi. I had no idea it was hard to find at the
time I got it. Napalm must have recieved a small quantity of it somehow.
They did write: "Nur wenige Exemplar - beeilen" in their mailorder update so
I guess they don't carry it anymore.

Landscapes and Strength and Anger are very difficult to get hold of too
unfortunately. I´ve not succeeded in this task yet anyhow. Have you heard
them? I hear Landscapes is some sort of ambient music?

Much more atmospheric stuff, but Landscapes for all of its power is
not what earlier Ildjarn is - the keyboard instrumentation used is too
sparse to cover the dimensions of melody within the time frame made
necessary by the natural pacing of keyboard playing and lack of urgent
tremelo strum speeds to maintain tone.

My preference:

1. Ildjarn - Ildjarn
2. Ildjarn - Det Frysende Nordariket
3. Ildjarn - Forest Poetry
4. Ildjarn - Strength and Anger/Svartfahrd
5. Ildjarn - Landscapes

I have found no US distros that carry this band at all. Any help?

I got "Strength And Anger" through www.evilmusic.com last year...it's the
usual Ildjarn stuff (great!) with two ambient tracks.

I recently got Landscapes on CDR - the original was hard to find, even when
it just came out. Not too strange with only 200 copies...

Anyway, I really like "Landscapes". If you've heard Sort Vokter, it's
basically the synth parts of that album...those sci-fi minimalist
drones/soundscapes. No guitars/vocals/etc at all, and no "structured"
music. Somehow, it really grows on you...

I think www.evilmusic.com still have Forest Poetry and Strength&Anger. And I
can only heartily recommend this distro to anyone who has not dealt with
them yet.
