When I heard the song, I thoughtit might be possible. But now that I've seen
video, I'm convinced. Madonna wants to be Bjork. Frozen is a good song, it's
just that the wrong person is signing it, that's all.

Electronic music is a style now. It's not a one artist thing. There are
much more differences between Björk and Madonna than between two
alternative bands but we never really stop and say that those groups are
repeting eachother again and again. We have to face the fact that Björk
is not the only one making our kind of music.

I think that in this case, Madonna really copied Bjork style. She didn't
only put electonic elements in her music, she stole Bjork's rythms. You
can't say that you don't see a bizarre resemblance between "Frozen" and
Bjork's latest singles, "Joga" and "Bachelorette"!!!

Frozen is the only song that could be said to be bjork esque, and its not
even really bjork..little star also, since Marius DeVries produced that
one. it evokes more trance and Underworld like notions than it does bjork
with its heavy guitar on almost every track

I will admit Homogenic is much more experimental and sonically interesting
than ray of light

My $0.02

I have been a fan of Bjork's since the 1st Sugarcubes CD. I think that if
anything it's a compliment to Bjork that Madonna's new music is going in the
direction (although not at all the same) as Bjork's music. Madonna's new "Ray
of Light" is an excellent CD & hopefully it will bring more awareness to Bjork
for those Madonna fans that are looking for some more music in that genre.
More power to both artists!!!

Actually I am a Madonnafan and got interested in Bjork because of
Bedtime Story. I love it how Madonna experiments with every music
form(musicals, trip hop, dance, rock). It has expended my interests in various
music forms enormous:-)

while her new album is good, it just can't touch Homogenic.
Anyway, if she IS copying Bjork, it only shows her good taste. :)

I am a pro DJ and people always ask me what I think of the album...
I just say that Madonna wants to be Bjork.

I do like Madonna's album and as much as I hate to say it...

She was such the butch dyke in a dress on the awards the other night,
imagine, her giving the award to Celine...
Hey maybe Celine Dion wants to be Bjork too!

Celine doesn't even think, decide, compose, arrange or write anything so
I can't see how she can become like Björk. She sucks and is an
embarassement to my country and province...

What she really wants is to be a singer.

HEY WHAT'S UP WITH MADONNA??????
I LOVE BJORK.....I THINK SHE'S GREAT ....BUT I DON,T THINK MADONNA
WANTS TO BE LIKE HER. DOES MATCHBOX20 WANT TO SOUND LIKE COUNTING CROWS? OR
CRYSTAL METHOD LIKE PRODIGY?
I DON,T THINK SO ...IT'S JUST THAT NOT EVERYBODY CAN SOUND LIKE NONE
ELSE..... MADONNA'S FABOLOUS AND SHE DOESN'T NEED TO COPY NOBODY. I
HOPE BJORK NEVER CHANGES (EVEN WHEN I PREFER DEBUT AND POST TO HOMOGENIC)
AND I,M WAITING TO SEE HER HERE IN SPAIN THIS YEAR.

no crystal method sound more like chemical brothers...

i saw an interview the other day and madonna even admitted that bjork is
the one that got her into the whole techno "thing"...so i can understand
this idea that madonna is ripping bjork off--but bjork is ripped off not
only in her music but in her way of dressing and decoration and entire
personal style--she has had to accept that people are going to be
unoriginal and copy her and so i don't think it is our place to fight a
fight that isn't ours. especially since bjork probably doesn't give a
shit.
