Jk-

"It's not up to you" has
1) not been released yet
and
2) Isn't intended as a b-side (should be on Vespertine)

So is this just wishful thinking? Or did you get a mislabeled track from
napster?

hmm.. it seems probable that it is, although there is no "I live in the
city..." lyric. where can I get the lyrics to the impression?

another semi-related matter: a while ago I picked up a remake of "Leaving
on a Jet Plane" labeled as being sung by Bjork. now.. although the vocal
stylings and some of the accents and intonations are the same, or nearly so
, as the Ultrahoney's - I didn't think it was consistent enough with the
rest of the Bjork I've ever heard and concluded that it was unlikely that
the singer was She. is there a definitive answer out there regarding this?

Bjork has never recorded a version of "Leaving on A Jet Plane" . . . .the
version on napster is off of the Armageddon Soundtrack and is by Chantal
Kreviazu . . .who I don't think sounds much like Bjork.

If you have it, and you use napster . .please change the title of the file .
.so other don't have the same confusion.

Be warned, the lyrics are pretty trite. Don't expect the genius of the real
Bjork, this is only a fan's imitation:

I've wrestled an idea
and threw it in a box
I'm sort of maybe hussled
by the hussle and bussle, yeah

I live in a city
and wear it on my skin
It's shiny and pretty
knows where I've been

You give up to easily
so you can suffer alone
the stars are all teasing me
and laughing, laughing

I live in a little city
It's shiny and pretty

Wake up, Wake up
I shouldn't be alone
Wake up, Wake up
You love him too (?)

I'm jumping out of boxes
and surprising you foxes

If you don't have the "I live in a city" part, then you have a different
song. How do your lyrics go?

Dom

Hello Bjork fans,
I've been trying to track down some cool new Bjork songs. If anyone
could take a minute to recommend any B-sides, unreleased material, live
recordings, or rarities that are worth checking out, I would really
appreciate it.
Of course, I know some of you might have read this assuming I was going
to tell YOU about some cool stuff like that. So, in the interest of
those people, I highly recommend the songs So Broken and Scary. Okay,
thanks for your help.

my fave b-sides and rarities:

*charlene
*amphibian
*yoga [w/ tricky...not to be confused w/ joga]
*satisfaction [live w/ pj harvey]
*it's not up to you

if you like aphex twin you should check out sjon/baldur's album cinammon
doves. its ambient sort of industrial-lite icleandic magic. you can get it
at www.badtaste.co.uk
i am pretty sure that is the address....they also have some rare bjork
stuff...like some album i have yet to buy with her and her sister singing.

good luck!
