and her son is
Sindri Bjorkson - pronounced how? Sin-dree 'be-york-SON'
Sorry for my ignorance but I'm very interested to know.
I had an offer from a friend to work in Iceland, due to the massive commitment
to Internet technologies, but if I take it I sure need guidance on
pronunciation and where better to start :-)
until we meet ...
i don't speak icelandic, but here's what i've picked up...
Björk Guðmundsdottir = "be-yerrk gooth-munds-DOT-tyr"
Sindri Þórson (not "Bjorkson"...the child is named after the FATHER) =
"SIN-dree OR-son" (the Þ is a silent "th")
jeff
Did know the child was named after the father but kinda mixed UK culture, was
thinking of her as a single mother so wasn't sure how it worked. Dammit, sorry
no disrespect meant at all, was trying to be more repectfull to her. Apologies
again.
*attempts to remove foot from mouth*
:-)
Until will meet...
quite alright...the CAPS in father was meant for distinction, not
yelling...sorry for the confusion
