-->on the closing date, all winning bids are computed and the winners are
notified with a statement of winning bids, the total with shipping,
and/or the records not won and their winning bids. Payment is expected
within 30 days, and boxes are mailed in order of payments received.
GRADING:
most of the LP covers are in pretty good to excellent shape, so i have not
graded them. If the grade of the cover makes a difference to your bid,
inquire.[most of these records are in excellent to mint shape, so the range
isn't too difficult]
n: new, no wear, damage, or permanent marks. 100% as made
n-,e++,e+,ee+ (in descending order)...
e: excellent, terrific, great! almost no wear/damage/marking. 95% left
ee-, e-, e--, v++, v+, vv+ (in descending order)...
v: pretty good. plays over wear/damage. 75% left
NOTE these grades mean nothing if you are not playing the records with
the correct stylus, or on a decent turntable!! !!
BIDDING:
please write JUST the ITEM NUMBER that you are bidding on on the LEFT, and
the amount of the bid, seperated by some space, or a comma/etc, on the RIGHT
minimum bid is 5$, and there is a minimum order of 10$ of winning bids!;
if less, the records are held until new winnings from the next auction push
the order over the 10$ mark. [there are exceptions to this second rule...]
[example: to bid 8$ on the Alvin Alcorn Trio and 15$ on the Max Roach
double album, send email to jts...@email.unc.edu (with a subject like
"auction" or "jazzilpee") with a message of....
1 8$
100 15$
see?
i keep all bid emails [and back them up], so that i may reply and inform you
of your wins/losses
SHIPPING/PAYMENT:
shipping is pretty exact. in general, shipping is 2.50, and 25 cents each
additional record.
INSURANCE is an 80 cents extra per 50$ worth of coverage
PAYMENT should be by check, cash, or money order; i suggest overseas send
cash [registered letter] or bank check to avoid long delays or high charges
from the stupid banks.
