The Great Band Era was a huge and marvelous musical bazaar--a bubbling,
exciting mixture of
places, names, melodies and events. It was a time when the late-night
air was filled with
music...when even casual listeners knew who played trumpet with Benny
Goodman, and who
Glenn Miller's saxophonists were. Here are all the Great Bands, their
theme songs and the
greatest hits from the years 1936-1945.

I'm Gettin' Sentimental Over You (Tommy Dorsey)
Take the 'A' Train (Duke Ellington)
Christopher Columbus (Benny Goodman)
Moon Over Miami (Eddy Duchin/Lew Sherwood, Vocal)
Frenesi (Artie Shaw)
All or Nothing at All (Freddy Martin/Clyde Rogers, Vocal)
Chattanooga Choo-Choo (Glenn Miller/Tex Beneke and the Four Modernaires,
Vocal)
and many, many more...

I realize this post is over 20 years old.... I'm wondering if anyone ever bought this... I'm looking to purchase a copy of the CD set.... I'd even settle for burned CD-R copies of CD's 4 and 5 of this set.... I have a partial set I bought on Ebay that only has the first 3 CD's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Jessica Norick
