What is a ChikPOS Terminal?
ChikPOS is software for point-of-sales (the desk at which a sales
occur). It has been specially designed to cater for the retailing and
hospitality sectors. The computer system requirements for a POS
machine differ from normal PC requirements in its need for durability,
and that’s about it.

When looking for point-of-sales software, the criterions are usually:
• Whether the software manufacturer is dedicated to providing
upgrades
• Whether the machine can take 2,000+ transactions daily, as business
grows
• How reliable the software is

What is the cost?
After identifying what it is, the second most popular question we have
is how much it’s going to cost. The total cost is $3,446.18 including
an OEM copy of ChikPOS Professional. The components included are:

than $699.95 discount when bought WITH system); or one of the

b. RETAIL DEMO: $19.95; updates for $19.95: This version is
appropriate if you want to have a quick play around of the Chikpos
Check-It-Out System. It is not suitable for use in a commercial
environment.
c. RETAIL BASIC: $99.95; updates for $19.95: This version is
appropriate for home-based services, or professional services which
only provide a few routine services. It produces no reports, and has
no advanced options for alternative languages, receipt printing, dual
screen output, video playback, online store setup, manager reports, et
cetera.
d. RETAIL EDUCATIONAL: $149.95; updates for $29.95: This version is
appropriate for educational institutions who wish to teach the Chikpos
Check-It-Out System. It is not suitable for use in a commercial
environment. It contains all the functionality of Retail Professional,
however.
e. RETAIL PREMIUM: $269.95; updates for $69.95: This version is
appropriate for family-owned and smaller community retail stores, and
is very similar to Retail Basic, but provides manager reports, receipt
printing.
f. RETAIL PROFESSIONAL: $699.95; updates for $99.95: This version is
appropriate for standard retail stores and restaurants, and is very
similar to Retail Enterprise, but lacks multi-store features available
in the Enterprise edition.
g. RETAIL ENTERPRISE: $2,499.95; updates for $149.95: This version is
appropriate for a multi-store setup of up to twenty stores. It is very
similar to the Retail Ultimate, but lacks advanced database features,
and the 99.9999% (six-sigma) uptime guarantee that the Retail Ultimate
provides.
h. RETAIL ULTIMATE: $14,999.95; updates for $499.95: This version
provides advanced database handling tools, software customization, and
guarantees 99.9999% (six-sigma) uptime.

Although we take referrals from interior designers and business start-
up courses, to keep costs low, we sell direct (like Dell). We’re
always on the lookout for exclusivity deals with retail technology
companies, to get you the cheapest prices! We’re also looking to buy
out a dodgy retail technology company (hardware intensive) to turn it
around, for Phase 2 of our project. Our aim is to sell approximately
100 systems every year (including software services of $2,378.22).
