How to Create a Band Name

I discovered this technique in college, while frelancing with several starting
bands.

1)Obtain a copy of "Cosmopolitan" Magazine.

2)Open to ANY article. (it must be an article, ads and one page "makeovers"
rarely work)
3) Use the TITLE of the article, either as is or truncated in some fashion.
That's it.

Try this in your checkout lane at the Grocer's. Try not to laugh aloud.

Some great band names that have come from this:
Lonely Sunday
Helpless Dancer
Sex and the Working Class Girl

Hannibal
(Time Will Crawl)

Another great way is to take words from Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the
Fire" that are run on together.
an example:
Red China Johnny Ray
Chubby Checker Psycho
Elvis Presley Disneyland

And My Favorite:
Space Monkey Mafia

Or, quote/honor obscure songs by your favorite bands. For example, my band (if I
ever have one) will be called "Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors", after an old DMB
song. (I claimed it! It's mine!)
