A music query

With musch pleasure I watched and listened to the music artiests who
performed during the opening of the World Cup Soccer championships in
South-Africa, on June 11th.

One of the artiests concerned an Algerian Rai singer. I believe his name was
Chalet or Galet. I don't know the spelling and that makes searching a bit
more difficult.

But I was wondering if anybody could give me the information on the tune
that he was singing during the opening. Or perhaps someone can direct me to
a sitge where I can find more about him.
