I really don't know. Kevin Griffen failed to clarify the song was about,
when they played up at University of Rhode Island. If anyone can
translate german, i'm sure i'd make better sense?

Here are the lyrics to BTE's Hidden Track. . these are not official
lyrics from the band, but seem to be pretty close to the real thing.

I would have to say that the song is about the street preachers which
you can find in cities like New Orleans, where the band oftened
performed in their early years - and now they live there.

Anyway, here are they lyrics. . for any other information about BTE
you might want to check out their web page @ http://www.ezra.org/

[ STARTS A WHILE AFTER COYOTE ]

<laughter>
The pork and beans with sauerkraut <in a German accent>
De purk und beans mit sauerkrauten
<guitar riff>
Streetside Jesus! Save a soul for a nickel and a dime!
Streetside Jesus! Save a soul, save five of mine
Streetside Jesus..save a soul, li'l precious child
Streetside Jesus..save a soul
<derisive laughter to the end>
Hyuh!! Ne-heh!
