I'm confused :o(. I've looked in record store after record store,
catalogue after catalogue, asked person after... well, ya get
the picture. (Sombody mentioned that it's difficult to find - no
doubt)! But, it's like it doesn't even exist. I have never found
any mention of it whatsoever.
So, here's my questions : Most importantly - is the sountrack
under the name The Chocolate War or is it under a different
name? Was Allison (one "L" or two?) Moyet a permanent part
of the band or did she just appear on the soundtrack? The
song I'm most interested in from this film is the one with The
Lord's Prayer recited all throughout the song. Is it possible
that it exists on a different cd?
Please, please, please - help the musically insane!
Thanks so much in advance.

Well, I don't know about _The Chocolate War_ soundtrack, but the song
you are talking about is "In My Room" from the Yaz album _Upstairs at
Eric's_. The CD is readily available, so you shouldn't have any trouble
finding it. And, yes, Alison Moyet was a permanent member of the band.
It was just her and Vince Clarke in his post-Depeche Mode, pre-Erasure
days.

Try renting the movie and closely watching the credits. The record
company who released the soundtrack and probably other details will be there.

Hey, Stuart. Thanks so much for the reply. I didn't know about Vince Clarke
being a member was in this band. I heard one Yaz's other cds (can't recall
the name, but a song named Ode To Boy was on it), but I didn't like it too
much - too much techno-pop for my taste. Anyway, I almost bought the cd
Upstairs at Eric's but decided it wasn't worth it if the song I was looking for
wasn't on it. So, thanks again - now I know it's definately not a waste.
