The counter will see the 13th but not the 14th as it's at the end of
the 13th track... and I'm not sure how it could be rare since it's on
all the cd's. :)

You are not imagining things. The 13th track is there. The vocals are
after YOK, it just takes a couple of minutes to get to them.

They're certainly not rare since my friend's copy has it (bought in
Jersey, UK).

I have come across similar things before - Crowded House's Woodface for
one has a track on the end with them shouting "We're still here". Most
irritating. :-). Not sure whether its track listed or not. Will check.

Also, Tom Petty's Full Moon Rising has random talking/introductions
between 'Side 1' and 'Side 2'. Track display shows negative time count.
Intro is missed if you jump to the track.

So it seems that the track count is just used as an index, which is
ignored when you are playing through the whole thing.

I've had some weird track counts on the CD player on the PC - not sure
whether people have been revising CD formats slightly.(?)

One heard album once so far - interesting - jury is still out. Music:
loads of production tricks and lifts. Lyrics: either she's got a
serious chip on her shoulder, or want it to look like she has.

Good album for playing 'Spot the influence' - obviously Tori, also
thought Joni Mitchell for a moment of two, plus few others I've yet to
track down. Either she's well listened or got a good producer (maybe
former as they tend to be vocal twists).

Anyone else hear any influences?
