"Tyler, 61, fell while entertaining the crowd by dancing around after the
sound system failed during the song "Love In an Elevator," said Mike
Sanborn, spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted the outdoor
concert"

btw, how old are the Rolling Bones now? 75 years old?
I've seen Tyler on stage recently and Jagger a year or so ago. Both
are in exceptional shape for their age. They don't stop. Drugs alone
could not maintain the stamina night after night. Good personal
trainers, massage therapists, good sleep hygiene and diet I suppose.
AND being extremely wealthy enough to pay for the best trainers,
nutritionists
and plastic surgeons in the business!
who says money doesn't buy happiness?
Oh, no. Is it happening again?!?!?!?!?

Plenty of singers young and old, drunk and not drunk, from rock to opera,
have fallen off stages in their careers. Sooner or later it's just going to
happen to the best of them.

No sex? :-)
Uni
I can vouch for that.

Except for Gene Simmons, I think guys like that have gotten so much they can
actually take it or leave it.

Sorry to hear that.
Jim, did you check out the A Great Station for Oldies thread where I was
asking for oddball requests received by musicians/bands? No pressure :-)
Also, I was impressed by how long you maintained a (semi) rational
discussion with Uni. Probably a record, and harder to earn than a Gold. :-)
Er, the discussion that was in the OT: How Music Sound Quality Decreased As
Time Passed thread
Because I, and only I, spoke truth about Atlantic Records and Jim
respects that!!

The rest of the story: It was back in my younger days. When you are
the one standing at the extreme end of a stage you have to remember
where the edge is. I stepped to the left one step too far. My foot
just slipped off it. Since it wasn't too high all I did was scrape my
left shin badly. I stepped back up and went on with the show.

Yes, I did. One of the oddest that I recall was one back around 1960.
We got a request for "China Doll." No one could figure out what the
hell "China Doll" was. Much later, our drummer came up with the idea
that what the person was requesting was "Travelin' Man" by Rick
Nelson. "oh my China doll down in old Hong Kong..." Anyway, the
point is requests that are incorrect titles.
