I just got the new "Musicians Friend" in the mail and was quite angry when
I realized they raised the price of the Mackie 1604 to $899 (from I
believe $825). I assume they did this because they are now giving orders
of over $500 to be paid in six equal payments, for six months.

Now I shouldn't really be complaining cause that is still a good price for
that mixer, but I have been saving for quite a while to get this and I
just hope it doesn't continue to go up. Of course I can buy it elsewhere,
but the six month payment plan would have helped alot. They also raised
the price of the Tascam 464 to $899.
I don't believe this is the updated 1604 either.

Try Sam Ash (800-4-SAM-ASH) In New York. They don't have those glossy
catalogs and are usually a lot cheaper than those who do...i.e.
Musician's Friend.
