Yeah that about covers it. More simply stated, you connect, login, and
through the use of typing simple commands, interact with other players.
It's text-based, meaning that you send and recieve words, not pictures; in
this way it's similar to a chat room or instant message, but MUD's are more
interactive. That's a general description of MUD. LambdaMOO is a
particular type of MUD that some of us find more user friendly than other
types.
