I recently downloaded a DOS USB driver update package, but the idiot
compressed the files using a *Windoze* program. I gave the self-extracting
executable to a friend but when he tried to run the executable, it wanted
to install the drivers, which he did not want.
So I went to another website and had the same thing happen even though
it was a different executable. How can these people be so stupid as to
offer a DOS driver package that requires Windoze to expand it?
Does anyone have the USBASPI.SYS Panasonic USB to ASPI driver
version 2.20 that I might obtain?

Richard,
I was able to extract the driver and can send it to you. Is your email
address valid?

From <http://panasonic.co.jp/pcc/products/drive/other/f2h_usb.html>?

Get LHA 2.55 for DOS and run "lha x f2h_usb.exe".
Who's the idiot now?

Tell your friend not to panic. It does not "Install" the driver (bad choice
of verbiage). It simply unpacks it's files to a directory named F2h in
whatever directory is current.

*** Yes. I never disguise my e-mail address.
Thanks for the offer.
