Banner printing in CMD window

In early 2009 there were some posts with banner printing methods, some of
which were pretty fast.

I'm searching the google archive but can't find the thread. Does anyone
remember a keyword or an author?

I'm guessing you mean something like big text on screen. The batch in
the following may be similar to what you are looking for.

http://ss64.com/nt/bigtext.cmd.txt

If not, please give an expanded description of what you mean by "banner
printing".

Exactly that. It's a good example.

I still wish I could find the old thread. There were at least 3 distinct
methods IIRC.
