If you're using Chromium-based Microsoft Edge, this one's for you. LastPass browser extension for Microsoft Edge without a binary component. Features dependent on a binary component, such as automatic logoff after idle and sharing of login state with other browsers, will not function.

4. If I use the account recovery request on a pc browser, I receive the email and try the link and it fails with the error "LastPass account recovery failed. The LastPass browser extension hasn't been installed. Please try account recovery again from a browser with the LastPass extension.

5. After installing the extension, it fails with the error "LastPass account recovery failed for xxx. Your current browser didn't save account recovery data on this computer. Please try account recvoery again in each browser and on every computer with which you've used LastPass." I've never used lastpass on a computer so I guess this is out.

I've reviewed your account and see some failed logins on October 23 due to the incorrect master password being entered when logging in, please remember the master password is case sensitive, try typing it out in a text editor to confirm how it is being entered first before logging in. It must be at least 12 characters long and contain upper case and lower case letters, as well as at least one number and one symbol.

We have noticed that certain character combinations are being automatically changed by the iPhone keyboard when the user types their master password. This causes the phone to unknowingly enter the wrong master password, please be so kind to do the following:

iOS Settings > General > Keyboard > Smart Punctuation > Off. Then please login.

If you're not able to log in to your email to verify your login, please go through the password recovery process for your email provider to regain access to your email and then verify your LastPass login. You could also try accessing your Vault in offline mode, if that was previously enabled. To do this, first disconnect all network/internet connections on your device/computer then try logging in to LastPass and you may be able to access a cached version of your Vault to retrieve your email password.

with no change to his issue. the googling I've done has turned up the above suggestions as well as a few others, Largely focused on ensuring that any browser extensions are disabled (which I feel should have been by passed by attempting with Edge, but I could easily be wrong)

After installing the extension, you will need to pin it to your browser. If you are installing the extension in FireFox, it will ask if you want to add it to your browser. For Chrome and Edge users, click on the symbol that looks like: or in the upper right-hand corner of your browser.

Detailed instructions can be found at the following link including instructions for Safari users (which is significantly different than the other browsers): -do-i-install-and-log-in-to-the-lastpass-web-browser-extension.

The University of Redlands is pleased to offer LastPass for all Faculty, Staff, and Students. Beginning November 1st, faculty and staff will receive an email invitation from LastPass to establish an Enterprise LastPass account to securely store university-related passwords. Enterprise accounts use your RedlandsID to login. Once your account has been configured, you will need to install the LastPass browser extension to login. If you would like to activate your LastPass license before November 1st, please submit a request here: Self-Service Portal.

Thanks for making sure those are correct. Could you also check in the Advanced tab of your LastPass Browser Extension Preferences to see if the "Share login state between browsers" option is turned on? If it is, please try disabling this option and testing once more to make sure that isn't causing you to be logged out as well.

Please also check the Chrome browser settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and other Site Data > make sure "Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome" is not turned on. If you also have another browser extension (such as a privacy extension or content blocker) we would also recommend disabling these during troubleshooting just to be sure they are also not causing the browser cookies/history to be blocked or cleared upon exit.

Could you check your Automatic Log Out setting within your LastPass browser extension Preferences? With this setting you can choose to have it avoid automatically logging out of your LastPass account when the browser is no longer in use and/or idle. Here's an article that details how manage this setting: -automatic-log-out

The current message can be confusing and we will be updating it, but you are seeing is because your browser did not have a Recovery One-time Password stored in it not because the extension wasn't installed. These recovery OTPs are created when you sign into your account through the browser extension and are stored in the browser. If you clear the browser history/cache they are deleted until you sign in again.

If you are confident you are entering valid information, contact your LastPass administrator or LastPass support. One-time login may be restricted by your organization.

if i do it from other browsers i get a message about it not having the recovery details, so it should be the right one im using.

Can anyone help me?

I loged in the browser with lastpass extension installed and try to recover, I was told the extension does not installed. Then I loged in the browser without last pass extension installed, I was told the samething.

Right now I have my account email and mobile phone can receive verification message, I just need to know how the recover process can go through.

Most of the password all are remembered by lastpass, please try to HLEP ME RECOVER the account. Thanks a lot!

Help me recover my account please. I'm still having that browser extension problem, I've tried in all broswers used and still nothing. I have the sms recovery method but now it is not abvailable anymore, recovery process goes straigt to email.

Yes I did follow the instruction. When I exported from lastpass, I notice that there is a download.csv and also the text in the browser. If I import the download.csv which only contains 4 entries, it works. But the rest shown on the browser did not work. I followed the instruction to copy and paste the text from the browser to a file called export.csv. I imported this export.csv which has most of my credentials, then it failed with the error.

8. LastPass works as an extension of your browser to keep your passwords in a secure and encrypted environment. If the browser extension* is not already installed, install it. DO NOT CHOOSE "LASTPASS UNIVERSAL WINDOWS INSTALLER." THIS INSTALLER REQUIRES ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS. INSTALLING THE EXTENSION ON INDIVIDUAL BROWSERS DOES NOT REQUIRE ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS. Here is what the LastPass browser extension looks like:

9. You are ready to use LastPass! Click on the browser extension. Enter your Email, Master Password, and click Log In. For information on how to use LastPass, visit our "Resources" section below.
