to stop any audio when you enter those passages. See the macro documentation for details (and ignore the comment about the macro, since that macro has been depreciated).

There are other methods, such a setting a variable to determine what audio to play, and then having some code which automatically triggers in every passage transition to play (or not play) the appropriate audio based on the value of that variable (possibly using a special passage, like StoryCaption or PassageFooter, which is triggered on each passage transition).

The Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum introduces the fascinating history of the underground passages in the Bastion passages and the Museum of Carved Stone. The NutiMuuseum audio guide NUMU allows visitors to learn about this fascinating place in Estonian, English, Russian and Finnish.

Built in the 17th century, the Bastion passages beneath the Inger and Swedish bastions are now part of the Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum. A professionally compiled audio guide will also help individual visitors find their way in the passages. You can download an audio guide to your smart device or use a phone provided by the museum.

The Bastion passages and the Museum of Carved Stone can still also be visited as part of a guided tour, which can be booked in advance at the scheduled times and also by special arrangement, and is conducted in Estonian as well as several foreign languages.

Setting Playback Speed: Set the audio playback speed by tapping the speed feature (set to 1x by default) and selecting a faster or slower speed from the menu. The speed feature is located above, and to the left of, the play button.

Setting the Timer: You may be more interested in challenging yourself to digest longer passages. Set the timer to spend more time in the Word of God or to subconsciously hear Scripture as you fall asleep. Set the timer by tapping the timer feature and selecting your desired listen time. The timer feature is located above, and to the right of, the play button.

Passages is a book series by Paul McCusker. The Passages series takes place at about the same time at about the current period in the radio drama, but each one also has an inner story that is told in "manuscript" form and happens before the radio series. All six books are a continued series of mystery stories. The only characters carried over from the audio series are Whit, Jack Allen, Connie Kendall, and Dr. Jennings.

During our meditation we repeat the words of the passage silently and slowly in the mind, but there are also times outside meditation when listening to the passages is a wonderful addition to a daily spiritual schedule.

The BMCM offers free access to recordings of Easwaran and his wife Christine reading the passages from his anthologies God Makes the Rivers to Flow and Timeless Wisdom, and you can find these collections in two different locations. Read on to learn about where you can listen to these recordings, and to hear from passage meditators about how they incorporate listening to passages into their spiritual practice.

All the passage recordings can now be found on the BMCM website at www.bmcm.org/passages and on the Easwaran Digital Library (EDL). The collections of passages are presented slightly differently in each location, and each presentation has its own benefits.

In addition to video and audio talks, the EDL now also has a library of the passage recordings. The EDL is a free resource that can be accessed by anyone who creates an account at www.bmcm.org/edl. The passage recordings can be found if you click on the Audio Playlists tab next to the Video Playlists tab at the top of your page.

One benefit of listening to passages on the EDL is that the passages are organized in the same sequence as in God Makes the Rivers to Flow, so users can browse under the same headings as in the anthology itself. The additional passages that were added to the Timeless Wisdom anthology can all be found at the bottom of the list of Rivers passages.

When listening in the EDL, users have the option to listen to a single passage on repeat, if they are working on memorizing a passage, for instance, or to play through a continuous collection of passages. The EDL will also remember where you were in a passage or playlist, and you can pick up in the same spot when you return. Inside the audio playlists there is also a search function to help you find a specific passage.

As a daily meditator who hadn't missed a day for many years, I knew I'd have to absorb myself in the passages in new creative ways once our baby arrived. The first few weeks with our baby were happy chaos with very little sleep, and usually not at night. I no longer knew what meditation "first thing in the morning" meant! I decided to listen to Christine and Sri Easwaran reading the passages from the BMCM website. I still tried to meditate every day, but because I was so tired and my memory was poor, I would first of all listen to a passage to refresh it in my mind, sometimes over and over. Hearing Christine's and Sri Easwaran's soothing voices reminded me not just of the words, but of the peace and stillness that I could still find.

There is this problem with JBL Flip 4, I think that playing via AUX sound is more controlled, clearer bass and less distortion. But it cuts out the sound on quiet passages in the songs, or in the movie, it soo annoying. Does anyone have a solution? It works fine with BlueTooth, but let's say, movies, the sound has a delay via BlueTooth so it's weird.

It is possible to hack the pcb to fix it. Extract the board, locate Q12, and solder a wire that shorts its collector (middle terminal) to ground. This will make Flip 4 think there is always audio going into aux.

During the 1960s as The Lord of the Rings increased in popularity particularly in America, journalists, broadcasters and producers sought to interview Tolkien, seeking explanations about his work. Although he was willing to discuss his books, these requests distracted him from his primary task of revising and completing The Silmarillion, and consequently only a few audio interviews survive.

Denys Gueroult interviewed Tolkien for the BBC in January 1965. The interview dealt almost exclusively with his most well-known work, The Lord of the Rings. It was published on audio-cassette in 1980.

Audio-assisted reading is an activity where students listen to an audio version of a text while simultaneously following along with the written text in a book or on a screen. This strategy provides students with an auditory model of fluent and expressive reading.

Audio-assisted reading is an individual or group reading activity where students read along in their books as they hear a fluent reader read the book on an audio recording (such as an audiotape, audiobook, tablet, or other mobile device). As confidence and reading skills develop, students read the same passage or text without the assistance of the audio recording.

These questions replay part of the audio clip and then ask you a multiple-choice question about that part of the clip. Like the other Listening question, this one, too, is worth 1 raw point.

Replay questions are different in that they let you re-listen to part of the audio clip. Because the answer to the question can be found in that particular part of the clip, pay close attention to the replayed part.

Every piece of music has a certain dynamic range, meaning the difference between the loudest and softest passages. Audio gear also has a distinctive dynamic range, though in this case the term describes the boundaries of what that piece of equipment is capable of producing.

On the other end of the spectrum are jazz and classical music, which can have considerably large differences between their quietest and loudest parts. In jazz, uptempo songs typically go from loud passages played on brass and saxophone instruments to quiet piano and bass solos. Even in jazz ballads, the dynamic range is usually relatively wide. A study of dynamic range in different musical styles conducted in 2016 revealed that dynamic ranges in jazz generally varied from 13 dB to 23 dB.

No matter what kind of music you gravitate towards, using high-quality audio components such as a Yamaha AVENTAGE receiver will help you to fully experience the dynamic range of the recordings you love.

Audio engineers use audio compression to control dynamic range in the music production process. A compressor reduces the peaks of the signal, thus lowering the dynamic range and making it possible to turn up the entire song without peaks causing distortion.

Lit2Go is a free online collection of stories and poems in Mp3 (audiobook) format. An abstract, citation, playing time, and word count are given for each of the passages. Many of the passages also have a related reading strategy identified. Each reading passage can also be downloaded as a PDF and printed for use as a read-along or as supplemental reading material for your classroom.
