LOOKING FOR AN ELUSIVE MOVIE TITLE

I am looking for an elusive movie which I have been searching for
year. Please help if you can. I saw
this film back in the early to mid-1980's in the USA. It was in
English. The only scene I can remember concerns an old man in a log
cabin during the winter with two young teenagers, who I believe are
brother
and sister. The old man appears to be abusive. He makes the girl cook
dinner and the young teenagers watch him eat his meal. He old man then
attempts to undress the teenage girl, presumably to sexually assault
her. However, the brother hits the old man over the head with a frying
pan, as then flee the log cabin and run outside into the deep snow. I
can also remember another scene where the young teens late stumble
across the same old man outside and startle him as he is sleeping
outside. They appear to give him an heart attack and he dies.
Any ideas?
