In an interview with the german newspaper "Berliner Morgenpost" John Landau
(the producer of TITANIC) said that the first test screening version of
TITANIC had a running time of approx. 6 hours. He said that after this first
screening they could convince James Cameron to cut Titanic to the 195 min.
running time.
I think this interview shows that there is a possibilty of a 5 hour
Directors Cut of
TITANC. I don't agree to the opinion stated some days ago that the 5 hour
version was a version with scenes filmed in different camera angels etc.
So let`s wait and see if there will be a 5 hours TITANIC DIRECTORS CUT.

Greetings

I agree. If anyone has seen the TITANIC tv special on FOX it was just
a glimps at the deleted scenes. The one 'shot" that I thought was
beautiful was a shot of the front of the ship as it is today and then
slowly fading into the past with Rose walking toward the railing as if
she was walking out of the past. Very cool and beautiful shot.

As well as the script. Anyone who has the script in their possession can
realize how much greater this GREAT movie could be if certain scenes are
put back in. I read the entire script over night one night and was amazed
at how a good thing could be upgraded. Kudos to Mr. Cameron on a great
movie, and let's hope some scenes are thrown back in with a directors cut
