More belivable? *sigh* If you wanan see woman like that go look at pics
of Kate Moss...
Oh sure. We ALL love those plastic, silicon filled, airheaded models
that wind up in movies like Barb Wire. They're SOOOOO believable. ;-)

Oh.... did RuPaul make yet ANOTHER movie???

You like little boys with no hips and flat chests, eh sicko?
In early 1912 (or before that), woman like Rose is consider well grown
and beautiful ! so it IS belivable.
And to all those guys out there who are saying Kate Winslett is fat - If you
want a girl who is straight up and down with nu curves - why don't you just
admit to yourself you are gay. Men are straight up and down so find
yourself one.

Ok, wait a sec. I just don't understand this whole Rose/Kate is fat crap.
She's what - 5'7-5'8 or so. She looks like she weighs about 110lbs. How,
pray tell, is that fat. She doesn't look fat - she's trim waisted and
narrow hipped. This has nothing to do with the preferences of an era. If
so, she'd have been about 150lbs for her height.
This is just getting dumb now.
Oh boy, I can't wait to see how many suckers fall for this post.

Excuse me, but I don't think YOUR personal preferences decide whether a movie
is believable or not. That's the way Kate actually looks, and I'm very
surprised some of the people here can't appreciate it. She looked like a DREAM
to me.
I disagree.. The athletic look that is considered sex today is a recent
phenomina. Back at the turn of the century (and earlier) the full figured look
was the "in" look. Kate Winslet has just that look for the period that the
events take place.

If the camera adds 10 pounds as they say, I'd think it's a stretch to call
Winslet even full-figured. I'd say she looks pretty NORMAL. Unlike some
who look like bones with a thin covering of skin. Women die everyday
trying to live up to society's idea of "thin". So do men for that matter.
Nevermind. The best approach to the "Kate/Rose is FAT" posts is to ignore
them. They are made by people who only want to make others angry, and
shouldn't be taken seriously--obviously they can't see beyond physical
appearances, more's the pity. Little sneering sneaksbies--trolling for
responses, then they sit back and watch the fun.

** Leo is 6'1" and purportedly very skinny. Kate is 5'6" and in recent months
has weighed between 120 and 150--a far cry from her adolescent weight of 185.
And I agree: She's not fat.

If Kate Winslet is too fat then I wish more women were built like Kate
Winslet! She's the embodiment of Perfection!
I agree that she's not fat. But she is by no means 110lbs. You must be
practicing vicarious reverse anorexia. She looks like she could be 135lb
or more.

old by merely living a number of years; people grow old by deserting their
ideals. You are as young as your faith; as old as your doubt. As young as
your self-confidence; as old as your fear. As young as your hope; as old
as your despair."

Rose was far from fat according to the standards of her time! In that
way, people were more sensible than they are today.
We need to get over this idea that women need to be anorexic!

Spend too much time with people of like mind and you will lose yours.

First of all... thank you... because I think more people need to say that and
understand that a size 7 is not fat... OK? And second? Her breat size is
quite big? Ok, thanks for saying that it doesn't mean that she is fat.. but
really... :) I think it is normal.. I think big is about a D or double D(but
still means nothing)... Not a what? C or something? That is average...
Anyway.. Just needed to say something indefense for all the B's and C's out
there:) (Nothing personal.. ya know):)

was indeed beautiful and agood actoress in the movie TITANIC. Almost
everygirl in this world
have that type of body and they definately be proud of it. Hey! Face it!!
It is hard to find
skinny girls nowadays for there are a lot of temtations out there.

If Kate Winslet (The Actress that played Rose) is fat then I want all women to
be fat like Kate Winslet! =)

No, she isn't fat. She just doesn't conform to the current "anorexic waif"
fashion look. Which, by the way, would not be relevant to the time period of the
movie.
By today's standards, Marilyn Monroe was "fat".
IMHO, the "look" of that time was towards Rubenesque (ie. larger rounded
figures). If anything, Rose should have been a little bit bigger...
